Cards being Deleted from Gallery? *merged*

I have "1" card that keeps getting deleted from my gallery.
Yesterday I had about 6 or 7 comments on it.

Today I come to look at the my gallery and It's gone again!

I just uploaded it for the 3rd time..

There isn't any links in it....So can you tell me why it's getting deleted???

Nancy, I can tell you EXACTLY why it's being deleted! If you go to your gallery and place the cursor over this card and see it's name - floral_beauty_by_jeanstamping2.jpg - and then go over two cards to the one uploaded on the 2nd of March and look at it's name - floral_beauty_by_jeanstamping2.jpg - they are identical. When we run duplicate scans the system picks it up and automatically deletes the newest one as a duplicate. Try renaming it something different before you upload and it should stay in the gallery!

Ok I see what you mean..... I have corrected in my computer and have now uploaded it again...Maybe it will stay this time.

This is so good to know! I have been having the same problem with one of my cards!!! I am going to change the names of my cards before uploading going forward!

I have uploaded some twice and they got deleted again. I can't figure it out.

You need to make sure you are giving your file a unique name when you save it in your computer, rathe than the numerical DSC/jpg name your camera gives it.

Does that make sense?

Try retitling your images--that should help resolve the issue. :grin:
