Card Photo Too Large?
 

Hi, I uploaded a card called "Too Much Hassle" sometime around noon today, but the image is still pending. Is it because I forgot to resize the image before uploading it? Is there some way I can delete the large version and upload a smaller version? Btw, what is the recommended size range? Thanks for your help. Pam

you're not *required* to size an image properly before uploading (our software does it automatically), it's just that larger images will have a larger file size and therefore take longer to upload. they also run the risk (if they're real big) of failing to be processed properly. in that case they'll be stuck in your upload queue and we have to fix it manually for you.

generally though, you'll have best results if you upload .jpg files at no larger than 640x480 pixels, saved at 70% quality.

As far as still pending, sorry bout that. If it's not up yet, it will be soon. I was at the dr's office this afternoon with my daughter. Blech, yucky rash again. :D

Thanks Daven and Jenn. Sorry, I never realized there was a preference on file size. I'll resize before uploading in the future. Jenn, I hope your daughter will have a speedy recovery and thanks again for taking care of my "big" photo when you get a chance. (It's still pending at the moment.) Cheers, Pam (I love SCS)
