Yes - the old issue is resolved - this is the first we've seen this particular problem. Thanks for the screenshot. So browser and device? And this is you clicking on a photo in the forums?

Yes - the pop-out ad was resolved - it was a single ad provider and has been resolved, so I think what you're seeing is new/different. I've reported it.

Thanks - but other than this new photo/ad issue, the problem with the popping ads and the gray blocks on top that are revealed has gone on for a very long time and is with every ad, not just one provider. I posted about it several times on the older thread and others did too.
I had attached screen shots of the gray blocks on top and you had responded.
ETA I guess the older thread is gone? There was discussion about how it was as if the ads (plural) weren't sticking to the platform, and you had explained the gray blocks were related - that they were what is underneath. (I'm not explaining it well.
So the ads still do a bounce and then stick where they should be, and the gray blocks still show up.. No change since this all began some time ago.
Screenshot attached (see upper right corner).

Yes - we archived the old thread but we still have access to it. The "unstuck" ad that most posts in that thread were about was unrelated to what you are seeing - it was a problem with a specific ad provider, not the format issue you're experiencing. They are looking at it and think they know what's up.
The "grey block" is actually the background of the site. Depending on your monitor resolution, you can see it at all times at the edges.
Since what you are seeing is pushing the content out of its frame, you're seeing more of that background where you normally wouldn't. Hope that makes sense.
Should be a fix soon.

Ads still floating
I think this must have been archived. Sorry to report that I am still having problems with it, even after clearing cache more than once. Up to date Chrome on Android Marshmallow. And it's a big pain when trying to notify Favourites from my phone...last week was the same.

Am I the only person still having trouble with this? Cache cleared several times, and it's a real nuisance when notifying or when trying to comment on DTGD cards this week on the daily commute.

I think you are. I need to check on it - I know they were trying to reproduce it.

Sigh, I was afraid it might be just me when nobody else mentioned it. I might have to look at an ad-blocker to make things more manageable, though actually I quite like getting the banner ads here!

Sabrina, I have ads that come over like that, but they do pop back. I think others may still have it but just quit reporting it.

Thanks, Kathy! I'm really glad to know it's not just me. This is what I had this morning when I was notifying Favourites :-(, and it's worse when it hovers over the username column.

Ditto, and I'm glad I'm nearly home because my battery is about to run out from "checking", ;-).

Floating again on my android phone and chrome. Also white pages that have to be refreshed in order to load fully.

Yes, here too. I had such trouble trying to read Ky's MIX challenge post on the bus home from work yesterday :-(. Still the most recent Chrome on Android Marshmallow. I do have another browser installed, I'll try it, but the floating is somewhat intermittent.
