Really, please, explain this to me and is it happening to...
.....you??? I post a reply, I can see it when I jump from posting it to my message, but if I go back, I can't see it. I even cleared my cookies hoping that would help and nothing. Is it happening to everyone??
It's not just the extras. It's like my Buyers Remorse thread. Unless I add a post, I can't see any replies. And then once I go out, I can't even see my newest post.
It's been happening to me too for the last couple of days...
I have cut way back on responses...figured it would correct itself when the great SCS team is done doing all their great and wonderful stuff that I have no clue about !!!!!
But the other thing that has always happened to me and I just don't get it is if I put a card in my favs...I get about 4-5 copies of it...and if it happens...don't try to remove the extra's ....because they all will be removed....
Sorry Kymbers, not trying to hyjack...just saying it's happening along with the double posting stuff!!!
I found the same thing, but it works to "refresh' the page. Is this what you are talking about? If I click on home page, it goes back to where I was before, and I have to click on refresh to get it current.
Not sure if that's what you are talking about though. :?
Alicia
No, refreshing isn't working either. I went so far as to delete my cookies and then resign in but that didn't help at all. It's a very odd occurance, just wanted to make sure it wasn't my boss' computer.
kymber, this is something we have been experiencing on the neverending thread for a couple of weeks. what others have posted is there.. once a thread gets soo long.. it starts acting funny! well, if you hit post.. and scroll down to the posts at teh bottom.. it will let you see what others have written. it is there.. just lost in a time warp!
the only bad thing is you cant quote from the post a reply box.. so you have to hope they know you are referring to them!

Since I have no desire to read Catie's never ending "Have you noticed" thread, that is not my concern. It's not just multi page threads, my Buyer's Remorse thread isn't but 10-15 posts long.
Wow this thread is now a perfect example. On the General Discussion list it says NiceRAK has posted, but when I open the thread I only see tc82742's post. So, see, it's not about long threads, it's about average threads and it's only been today.
This is happening to me, also. I posted on a swap I'm doing and it showed up as being there - then it wasn't. It was on page 2, now it only shows 1 page. Wierd! I've got to say, though - I don't envy any of you doing this upgrade thing! We all really appreciate all the work you do to keep this site going, and we can put up with hickups in the system!
Thanks again,

I was reading a thread of only 3 pages and at the bottom it said "page 5 of 3". !!! Another thread I looked at had many multiple postings by several people.
So I knew something wasn't right.

Happened to me, too! I posted on the 1st page of the TV thread (it said page 5 of 2) then it was gone, so I RE posted, then they were both there, then they were both gone!
we're in The Twilight Zone!
Hmmm.. I loved IFB right away, even before the samples started popping up. It must be all those dots! Because I liked the one in the holiday mini that had the pear tree too, with all the dots! I probably wouldn't order the wings and things, because it is so similiar to IFB, but I really like all the bugs! I'm not wild about any of the other bug sets in the IB&C

Well I think Drawing on Nature is one of the sets that I will be getting but can't afford to many right now. Maybe can order again toward the end of the month (DH only gets paid on the 16th and 26th )

I really like the Winged Things set. The dragonfly looks almost stained glass like to me so I will probably color it that way as well, but I can definately see other possibilities for it. I already placed a $100 pre-order for the Spring mini, but that's ok....2 more SAB sets!!!!

Anyway, my opinion is that it will make the catalog. It's not my taste at all, and I wonder what made me break down and buy IFB........must have been the play day at my secondary upline's home. Wish I would have held off and got something that I really loved, oh well, caught up in the moment purchase. I do like the bee, though.
The only sets in the new mini that appeal to me are WW2, and Balmy Breezes. I'm going to stick to my guns and wait until March to order because I want the hostess set so bad, so I might as well have these sets go towards that requirement.

YOu know, I was a huge fan of IFB until I saw samples. BUT, Winged Things just doesn't do it for me. I like floral and can always use more flowers. The images in Winged Things are just stuff I wouldn't use. We'll see though.

I didn't like IFB either when it first came out. Then I started seeing sample after sample of fantastic cards made with this set. It is now on my wish list.
I did pre-order Winged Things and the Wheel because I see so many possibilities with this set and next month I will order IFB to complement it.
I believe Winged Things will make it into the new catlog. I would be shocked if it and WW II didn't make it in.
MommyStamper Posted: Tue Feb 01, 2005 1:12 pm Post subject:
If you look on the website at the set it says wings & things. (once you open it) on the outside it says winged things. I guess they realized they made a mistake.
But if I just go into the post ~ from my home computer which shouldn't need refreshing or anything ~ the last post I see is:

I'm with you..........won't be getting this one. I have IFB, not sure why I got it, except I used it at my 2nd uplines meeting, and you know how that goes.........wish I would have saved my bucks for something else. Although, I do really like the little bee from IFB.........and yes, I believe it will be in the new cattie.
I will be getting Wonderful Words II and Balmy Breezes, but probably not until the official run of the mini catalog, I'm really want the hostess set, so I'll need to be strong and wait!

This is what I mean is going on. Does this explain it to the powers that be?

Geez, Kymbers, that reply seems a little harsh.....looked to me like Tascha wasn't just trying to explain that it's not just you experiencing the problem...perhaps in future you could put a little kinder wordings to your responses, even if it's *not* something that you are "concerned" about? I thought this place was about acceptance and tolerance. Flaming like that certainly doesn't help tolerance....
Just sayin' (as Catie would say! ;))...
And not meaning to offend you either, but as has been mentioned before, you cannot hear voice inflections while reading written words.
Just tryin' to keep peace........

Catie ~ no offense toward you and those posts, they are like a Seinfeld ep to me. A lot about nothing so I have no interest. Just how I read the net. If I can't keep up, I just have no interest. Seriously, it's nothing personal.
And I was just being to the point. I addressed the point that it was short posts prior to comments by Tasha so the longer posts weren't what I was referring to. And I don't see how confronting people and being confrontational on a point that is long past is keeping the peace.
Try avoiding *being* confrontational, Kymbers. It was just rude. That's how it read, obviously as her next comment was "sorry for trying to explain". Perhaps if you weren't being rude in your responses to people there would be no need to *be* confrontational. It's not like this is new behaviour...it just disturbs me that your responses are usually on the rude side. You do tend to be that way....I've seen it enough times, and I rarely comment on your threads because of how you fire back at people so readily.
I try not to do that, as I've stated people can't read "tone of voice" on screen.
And Kymbers....since you're so free to state your opinions on every subject you wish, have the respect for others who wish to state theirs also.
I'm not trying to be confrontational, but I'm tired of seeing how the rudeness is starting to permeate every discussion and every thread. There's just no need for it, IMHO. I'm not saying it's only you...but this one got me this morning. Last comment on this subject in this thread. I promise. Please though, can you just think about what I'm getting at here? I'm sure you believe that you didn't mean to offend ~ but I am pretty sure you have. If you have any further comments, feel free to PM me.
Back to real life and what I do get paid to do.....

Kymber, your reply to tc was pretty dismissive. Even though you aren't following along on the "Have you ever noticed" thread, the fact that this issue is happening there IS actually relevant to the site performance and I'm guessing that is why tc added that post. It wasn't necessary to add your remarks about that thread. It only served to make the people posting to that thread feel small and unimportant.
Perhaps you should submit a list of people whom you deem as worthy of adding posts? From your remarks I gather tc is not on the list? I've concluded there are others, as well, from reading other threads.
I am probably not on the "worthy" list myself!
I truly hope you see how your remarks may have hurt some feelings, whether intentional or not, it is a shame either way. I hope your day is FAB and they get these quirky things fixed for ALL the threads.
Ok lets get back to the topic of this post!! I'm having the same problems. Plus I have seen other weird things, like when I look at a thread the first posts are on the last page and the most recent on the front page. Very weird. Than I clicked off and went back and it was okay. FREAKY! VERY FREAKY!! What is going on??? I think Daven is giving us a test to see if were paying atttention!! LOL!!
Yes it is happening all over... it seems to be the most noticiable when you are trying to keep a conversation going. The threads that are like,
"Where does Lana buy Gamsol" types you will not notice it as there are people asking and answering all the time and no one is actually talking to another person. However on your thread Kymbers where you are actually checking for others responses you will probably notice it more... I see that D and T are both hard at work but I have seen it in LOTS of threads, where people are asking things like, "Where is my post? And Why did I post and by the time it made it to the thread there were three pages of replies?" It is happening all over so to answer your question Kymbers, it is not just you. And yes it is VERY frustrating, so much so that I was not on all that much yesterday!! LOL IMAGINE THAT????
Ok as for the other Issue that has now been brought to light. I would just like to ask everyone yet again, before you hit the submit button, please reread what you have typed and try to think worst case scenario, "How could this be interpreted by someone else..." By taking a moment to reread there are many times I find I really ought to edit and reword so as not to come accross as short, offensive, grumpy, dismissive, or rude... And all it takes is just a few seconds for me to reread and reword...
I just thought of something to consider,
"If you find someone is always stepping on your toes, you may have big feet, If you are always stepping on someone elses, chances are you do have big feet."
In either scenario it is not the big feet that would be the problem. It would be the not being aware of them and the damage they can cause... or have caused to them.
And if you are tempted to "speak in haste" please just remember my new sig line...
