Ok, so my husband says I can't come look at this site anymore
Everytime I visit the gallery I have to add another stamp set to my wish list that I originally thought I didn't want because you guys make them all look SOOOO good. If you don't stop inspiring me, all the money in my SU saving account will be gone!!

OMG, right after I posted this, hubby pointed out to me that my latest order came today and was sitting outside!! 3 of the 5 new sets that I got today are ones I purchased because I was so wowed by the cards in the gallery! He's trying to figure out how to ask me how much they cost, without annoying me, I can tell!!

That's too funny! Why didn't you use the "it's a customer order." It works for me. I have placed 4 different orders in the last 3 days... man am I going to have lots of "deliveries". Then what you can't shuffle in with your old stuff (for the observant hubbies) tell them that you got it with hostess benefits.
This hobby is way too expensive not to keep at least SOME of it under wraps!

hmmmm... not sure if he fell for it. He grumbled that he guessed I'd be up all night mounting them, and disapeared into the bedroom. He's right about that part, I can't stand to have unmounted stamps, but I am on the last set now.

My problem is I can't tell hubby its because I had such a good month, he'll want to know how much I got to compare to how much I spent. LOL

Well, I was trying to save 1/2 for convention next year.
I got: Sassy Sayings II, Wonderful Words, Hang in There, Bold Butterfly, Love w/o End, and Watercolor minis. I used to think Bold Butterfly & Love w/o End were too "Cutsie-Pretty" for me, but when I saw all the great samples here, I changed my mind!

I actually started a special savings fund for stamping a few years ago when I went to my first stamp show in Madison! I came home w/loaded credit cards and my DH said never again unless I save ahead!!! And now I haven't been going to the show because it's hard to leave the kids behind and Saturdays are such family days. So I get to spend that money on SU stuff! Very fun..I save all year for the sell-a-bration! Except this year...I just blew it recently...couldn't wait to get some new sets...the shapes, flex phrases, etc. Now I hope I win Lana's supply contest....I spent all my money on stamp sets!!!! :lol: :lol:

Well, in theory you can, but I'm starting to realize actually doing it is not as simple as I thought it would be. And now, after visiting the gallery today I've decided I just MUST have alphadots! hmmm, I sense another $150 order going in today!

I placed a 350.00 order last week and I'm ready to put in another 150.00 this week because I realized that I didn't get any supplies to make Christmas cards and I read somewhere on this site that they run out of the Christmas supplies (especially the cardstocks like red and green) closer to the Holidays. I'm lucky though, as long as my DH has his internet access and electricity and water, he doesn't seem to mind...at least not yet!!!!
I feel your pain, I have spent $529.00 this month. All of it MINE! As if my addiction is not enough to make me broke. This is my DD senior year, I just spent 1000.00 on Senior pictures, They have a Sr. trip planned, and I just ordered her class ring and letter jacket. She just told me she needs a formal dress for Homecoming on Oct. 9th. I'll be in the poor house soon.

You have a savings account? Good for you. I didn't want to juggle yet another account, so I've been feeding my business expenses through my regular checking account, which was probably a big mistake.
I keep pretty close track of my sales and expenses and after my first year, I am $1,200 in the hole :( Considering that I gave up my pretty successful Ebay business to pursue this opportunity, as a second source of income (in addition to my REAL job - geez!), it looks like I'm definitely doing more spending than selling <sigh>. It's really frustrating because I really try so hard to be good! I'm not really the shop-a-holic type and I just got us out of a big pile of debt, so I'm disappointed that I've done so poorly with controlling my expenses.
On the other hand, I went to a Stamp Camp this weekend and realized that my stamps are ALL WRONG! Well, not all, but certainly most. I've fallen into the trap of buying sets that are all basically the same. Lots of cutesy, happy birthday type sets and not much in the way of holiday sets or general purpose stamps like Love without End or Little Layers, etc. So, I definitely see more spending ahead, now I just need to boost those SALES!
I've formulated a plan, everytime I think I MUST break into the account to buy more, I'll go to the gallery and look at the photos of convention to remind myself what I'm saving for. And I'm really going to try to limit myself to 1 $150 order a month. SIGH Well, maybe just one more this month, before I start on October...

I am not quite sure what language you all are speaking.. I understand most of it but then you keep using this strange word....SAVE? What does that mean? Is it french? Some new fangled hip hop twisty word?

I'm trying to hold off even looking at the catalog right now. My next wish/want list is sooooo long. I keep thinking I'll wait until October, but There is one set on the September 6 that I don't have and want so, I guess I'll just HAVE to place an order.
I'm going broke!!
