IC01 - Arwork - Boy on weathervane (Inspiration Challenge)
Welcome to the inaugural Inspiration Challenge!
The idea is that I will select something -- a piece of art, a photo, a magazine ad, a piece of furniture, anything really -- and we see what inspiration it creates. You can get your inspiration from the colors, the layout, the theme, or it just makes you think of a card you need to do
Please feel free to use the inspiration to make anything -- a card, scrapbook page, or other project.
Also, mark you upload with IC01. And, if you would, tell us briefly in your upload or your post here how you were inspired (my inspiration is listed in my upload).
Attached is the image to use -- it is a (I believe watercolor) print by Norman Ault.
Sorry it took me so long but I did get one done. I had lots of ideas going through the head but no stamps to achieve them so I went with inspiration from the sky. My sky is a little earlier in the evening and a much different setting. I did love the sky in the photo posted.
Dang! I just found that you posted your 1st challenge but the gallery just went down again so I can't see the finished results yet! I'll check back later; love the inspiration photo; it's got my mind churning!

I saw the happy boy and the stars in the sky. My grandson "designed" the rubber stamp that I used for this card. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
It may not be the best card I've done, but I love my grandson a lot, so it will still be one of my favorites.

Looks like the gallery is still "not quite up to snuff." I posted my card hours ago and it still says "image pending." Well, maybe it will be there in the morning. ;)
I had so much fun with the last challenge, I thought I'd go back & try some earlier ones. Here's if angels wore shoes. You have to look on the light side sometimes. I used chalk petal points dtp for the sky.
FInally I get to post one to this challenge. I've loved that little boy on the weather vane since I first saw him a LOOOOOONG time ago. Every once in awhile I would mull how I would make a card to go with that drawing. Today I finally did it and here it is: Stardust Baby
I may do more later. This artwork really inspires me.
