Question ISO Animal Alphabet list of animals

Hello everyone,

I have a customer who purchased the Animal Alphabet set a while back, and has lost the list of animal names that each letter stands for. The SU! site doesn't have it anymore and apparently I didn't keep a list since I didn't purchase the set. Would anyone of you nice stampers happen to have it handy and could email it to me. My customer would be most appreciative!

Many thanks!

I don't have a list. But I did look in the gallery. Very cute set. Some of the animals are easy to see like A = aardvark or B = Bear. But why on earth is there a frog on the X???

X = Xenopus , which is a type of frog or part of the scientific name for a type of frog.

Lesley

ok, it bugged me that i didn't which it was, so i google.
this is from www.xenweb.org:

Introduction to Xenopus

Two species of Xenopus are commonly used by biologists, Xenopus laevis and Xenopus tropicalis. For many years Xenopus laevis was used as a biological assay to determine human pregnancy status, as female Xenopus respond to a hormone present in pregnant womens urine (chrionic gonadotropin) by laying eggs. Biologists use the same method to induce female frogs to produce eggs on demand in the laboratory. The frogs are then rested for a few months, then induced again. Very few species of frog can be induced to produce eggs in such a controlled manner, and this is one of the reasons why Xenopus is so popular with developmental and cell biologists.

Default Animal Alphabet - Thanks!

WOW! You all did some research, and we all got a lesson in X....frogs!
Although I haven't used the forums before, I just knew from all the great ideas I've obtained from the galleries, that this was definitely the place to find help. Once again Splitcoast has come through!

Many Thanks!....hope I can return the favor some day!

Happy Stamping!
