I think the fee only applies to being a Fan Club Member, but I will triple-check and post back to this thread.
The Demo Forum is fabulous, and worth the fee if there is one

I'm still checking. Meanwhile, you can also try for yourself...

Hi I am new to the forum and just signed up to be a SU Demo. I got my kit last week and have been going through the catalogs over and over, my wish list is never ending - lol. I went to a friends to craft and she got me looking at stamping and card making. I am so new at all of that. Somewhere I got the link to here and I signed up for an account but then was sidetracked by a family emergency and didn’t get back here until yesterday. I signed up for the demo side, just waiting on approval. I am sure I will learn a lot here and I will need all the help and knowledge about this that I can get. Can’t wait to explore more. Debbie
Hi all -- my name is Dana and I live in Northern Colorado. (I wonder how many other Coloradoans are hanging around SCS?) I'm new to the site and a BRAND new SU demo....we're talkin' one week here....still wet behind the ears but having a blast. Nice to meet everyone and thanks for the fabulous site!!

I am a returning rather than new Splitcoast member, hoping to spend more time here and see what I can learn from everyone. I've been stamping for almost 11 years, but there's still a lot to learn! I know the galleries are going to be a great source of inspiration, too.
Hi Amy - Welcome back. I'm glad you've included your blog so I can keep up with you more easily! Saw your scrapling - nice. Just went to a Stampin' Up meeting and my swap was a scrapling. Have fun.

But I'm new to SCS and I love all the great ideas, the tutorials, the challenges...as you can see, I've been lurking for a while. I'd hoped to take part in Friday's VSN, but a fractured heel is slowing me down a bit. I've been scrapping for 14 years and started stamping in the last 4-5, but feel there's so much more I need to learn. I have feeling this is just the place to turn to learn!
I can't wait til the Nov. VSN - I'll be there with my stamping shoes on rather than this silly boot!

Welcome to the board! If you have any questions, just ask!
Thank you! I have SOooooooooooo many questions! My first question is: what do people do with all these cards? I see some galleries have like over 3,000 cards they have made. Do people really still buy cards that you put in the mail? I didn't know that. I didn't know that people still actually "mail" cards to each other. Do they send them to their friends and family? I don't have that many friends or family to send 3,000 cards to over a life time. Plus- so many of these cards look like works of art to me. They have ribbons and bows and buttons and I don't see how you put that through the mail. So my first question is: What do people do with all these beautiful cards they make?
Great question! Some people find occasions to send cards, "just because." Other people donate them to organizations who send them overseas for the servicemen and women to send home, or donate them to nursing homes, etc. Other people sell them. Still other people are demonstrators and use them to show to customers, then send, sell or donate them after.
If a card has a thick embellishment on it, you can take a piece of scrap cardstock and put it over the front so it doesn't catch in the postal machinery.
HI. I've been to Splitcoaststamper before, and LOVE it, but never to a forum. My mind is now boggled. I've been stamping for a number of years but stayed off the computer because of time. I've been laid off since March and my stamping has improved greatly. Now I'm trying to figure out all this computer mumbo-jumbo. Anybody from the Cleveland area...yes, the Cleveland that takes all the bad hits.
Hi, I'm from FL, have been lurking around for a couple of months. Have done scrapbooking in the past, but have not stamped. Fell in love with the Verve stamps and placed a couple of orders, love that they arrived so fast! There are so many talented people here, and so friendly. I will try to jump in, try a challenge or two and see what happens.:-D
Hi I'm Marg, I'm new to SCS. I actually heard about SCS from a member who I spoke to in one of the craft stores I frequent. We didn't exchange names I'm sorry to say, but thankful she told me about you.
I have been making my own greeting cards for some time now .. and it is always nice to learn new ideas and concepts.

thanks - most of the cards i have viewed in galleries are so pretty and are more like "works of art" to be framed, rather than to be mailed.
My name is Mary and I'm not new to SCS. I just changed my name. I tried to change it before without having to loss all my other info but just decided I might as well start over.
I'm a fairly new TAC Consultant just had my first party last month. And got my kit in July. But I've been sick pretty much ever since I got my kit.
I look forward to seeing and sharing with you all.

I am a fairly new demonstrator and am going to have my first scrabbooking get together. I am in need of ideas for a flier to give out at church telling about the scrapbooking night I am having at my house. I am going to have everyone bring the pages they are working on and then I will do a make-and-take using my products. What should my flier say and look like to make it look professional?
Yes, I am a SU demonstrator, but only as a hobbyist. I use SCS often for ideas. Love everyone's beautiful artwork. I do have a question...what is the difference between the Copic markers and regular markers like SU or other mfgrs?
Hi, I am new to this but have been getting e-mails etc for a while. I love this site. Thanks to my sister. I was an SU Demonstrator but am now just on my own. Thank you for all the fun.
