Red face New Demo Reality Setting in...1st ShowBox Swap...

Ok, so I just sent my paperwork in yesterday, so SU hasn't even gotten yet, but I have joined my line in time to go to a couple of demo-group meetings. The first is on Saturday, but it's going to be very laid back (for me, cause i'm still wet behind the ears & I'm just going to look & listen- & play ;) ). But the next is in Sept & is a 'big' meeting (to me) & with my confirmation today, I got a list of what we're doing & one thing is the swap for about 70 people! So after I came to...I immediately wonder if I've even made 70 cards... The other thing is the Shoe-Box Swap...no number for that one yet!

EEKKKKEEKKKKK!?!?!?!?!?

I'm having a serious creativity doubt right now! I just got off the phone with my demo & expressed my worry & the fact that I don't have a lot of current stamps (most of mine are retired or from minis), but she said I'm more than welcome to use her stamps & work with her (& she's got an awesome set up). Of course, I just remembered that I will be getting current stamps when I get my demo kit...

Question for others, how detailed do you make the cards for the shoe-box swap?

BTW, I'd really love some feedback for the few cards that are in my gallery, constructive critasism would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

I checked out your gallery and I think your cards are great. I'm no expert but I think they are fine. I've never done a shoebox swap so I'm anxious to hear the answer to that.

Ya know, I really enjoy doing shoebox swaps instead of regular swaps. First, you only have to cut the stuff up and throw in a box, where the regular swaps you have to cut the stuff up and actually put them all together. Plus just getting together with everyone and stamping is always fun. We usually do both at our meetings. One of each. Take a peek through my gallery. On page 2 (the Heartfelt Thanks pocket card) was a shoebox swap and also these 3 cards on page 4 (Paint Prints--Thanks, Wax Paper Resist Tulip and Valentine Postage Love) Hope that helps.

Relax - I checked your gallery & your cards are wonderful. I did my first shoe box a few mths ago - some of the women's cards blew mine away, but others were simpler then mine. We're all learning & you'll find most creative people are very forgiving & just want to help someone else get better.

About the Showbox - just some notes - cut everything for the card - including the ribbon - this will save you some ribbon, mark all your stuff in the box, include sissors, boner - anything they might need (just make sure it's marked).

Have Fun!!!
