I am new to both SU and SCS. I have been checking this site a few times a day to be honest. My husband says I'm addicted. I love the idea that you can ask questions and get ideas. I'm trying not to be shy and jump into some threads.
I've got a 22 month old daughter and twin boy 10 month olds. I currently work part time but hope I can make a go with SU so I don't have to go back to work full time. I'm having my first party next week. The only problem is it's for my mom. You may think why is having a workshop for my mom a problem. Well, she lives in ND and I live in NY. I'm trying to pack up my family for the plane trip and include my SU stuff. I don't think I'm going to take a lot. Just what I need but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? It's going to be crazy with all of our carseats, strollers, luggage, babies! I'm starting to worry about this workshop and flying.
Am I crazy? :(
I look forward to getting more involved in the website.

There is another thread on here where a totally new stamper asks what she should buy to start with. Take a look at that and kind of get an idea of what you should take. Take what ever make and take project of course and spots if you have them instead of the big pads. I wish you and your new venture the best of luck. I bet your babies do too.
Have you thought about shipping some of your stuff to your mother's house so you don't have to worry about taking it all to the airport with you? Have you planned your projects yet? If so, take only the paper, ink and idividual stamps you will use. Good luck!
Norsky's kids are cuter in person! I've seen 'em, and I have quite a crush on the twins! LOL!
Norsky- your party will be a success--you have a wonderful, ROCKSTAR Upline (If I do say so myself) who will lend you whatever you need! LOL LOL :p;)
All kidding aside- You are so talented, and you have my support and SCS to guide you through this new adventure- the advice on this site is wonderful, the gallery is full of ideas, and all the ladies here are so willing to share of themselves.

A Big Texas welcome to you & I want to tip my cowboy hat to you! Wow! Three children under the age of two! I only have a rotten 20 year old & a precious 17 year old special needs child @ home & I can't find the time to stamp. Woman, what's the name of those vitamins you must be taking?
Stampmomma you are a ROCKSTAR!!!!!!! I want to be you when I grow up. Why didn't Ty look like that when I saw him.
Thanks for your support with my first party. I'm very nervous but I know my nerves will calm down about, ummmmmm, 1 hour into the party :p
Can I just say that everyone should have such a wonderful upline. Mine let me borrow:all my paper, stamps, glue, flitter, tags, ribbon, ink and so much more to make my first party a success.
