Default first post from my new desk!

Well the desk is up and set up and I am thrilled, now I am weeding through all my STUFF. Seriously thinking of getting rid of all non su stuff even though I am a hobby demo I have dreams of making enough money to support my habit.

Default organizing

Yes, isn't it great to get organized? I finally began a project to do just that in my basement...now that my daughter is in college, I utilize the area for my stamp make & takes and now realize I have too many little organizers and no organization! SO, my hubby & I are working on a storage work space on one end of the basement. Today I found that using DOORS instead of countertop laminate was WAY cheaper! He will build cabinets to go under them, and they look just like white counter top! $18 ea for 80"x24". Target had some plastic wire cubes to assemble--6 13x13 attached cubes for $12.99! Perfect for scrapbook paper and stuff. Will hang them on the wall above the counter. Good luck with your organizing! I hope my husband will have this done when I come back from SU convention! Altho, I'm worried b/c he has his own idea and I have mine---wanted to TOSS my swaps!!! AAAGGHH!

Wink Working on it - some done, some just thought about LOL!

Well, I had already decided that I needed to do Something
I couldn't get any stamping done because I couldn't Find
ANYTHING! I have a combo of stuff gleaned from
Walmart, Office Depot/Staples, plastic drawer rolling carts,
three drawer narrow 'tabletop' drawer things that are
big enough for 12x12 , also found these plastic clear
boxes - rather like the boxes SU puts stamp sets in -
only they are big enuf for 12x12 (I use these for favorite
colors that I have bought tons of) . Also broke down and
purchased the SU stamp pad twirly deal - oh is it Great!
Now we have new colors! I need another one! I have my
pads organized by color (ie., Blue, Green, Yellow, etc.)
The challenge (3?) re stamp binder is on the list to do (LOL!)
Also the Scraps one (started sorting but have run out of
room! My work area is getting a new table and
shelves - so for now, I'm in the dining room.....Doesn't
bother me, but my darling mama comes to visit Friday!?!
Well, since she wants me to make her a bunch of
thank you notes - she will just have to put up with the
'work in progress" !!!LOL!

Where did you find those SU like clear boxes? I've been looking for something like that to put all my non SU stamps.

I also found some of those SU-type clear boxes, from between $1.29 to $2.75 for 12x12 sized at XPEDX, a paper store in Tempe, AZ. I think they're in a few other states too. I'm in the process of organizing also and purchased them for my non-SU stamps, for my wheels, and envelopes too.
