Well, apparently, I just need to mention it here. I found the paper. And some more paper that I didn't know I was missing. Now I'm really mad at myself!
Awww Jor, that's great that you found all your papers, but so sorry you were upset when you thought they were missing. I have a tendency to obsess when I can't find something, so I know how frustrating that can be.

Karen, I hope you find your scissors!
It makes me nuts when I look for something over and over! I've gotten more scatterbrained, so it happens a lot more now.
Karen - a favorite pair of scissors is crucial to crafting. Hope they turn up quickly.
I have reorganized a little in my craft room so I think that is part of the problem. I moved things from where they have been for years and can't remember where I put them. I need to start putting notes in the places they used to be!
I am missing one of the greeting stamps from a Christmas set I use often. If it doesn't turn up, I will be sad during next year's Christmas card frenzy. I am also missing a teeny tiny star stamp that I assume is gone forever.

FOUND IT! It was stuck to a piece of card stock right next to my stamping area. I won't need it until next Christmas but I'm happy it's back in its case.

Oh my gosh, so happy to hear a success story, haha! Thank goodness you didn't toss that card stock.

Yay! I found my Cutterbee scissors buried under mounds of paper and stamp sets on my craft table. Whew, now I can do some serious fussy cutting again.

I finally found my missing stamp! Hooray! It had fallen loose in the drawer I had the stamps contained in. Had I not been reorganizing in there, I wouldn't have found it. That made me so happy!
This week I am missing my Spellbinder tan embossing mat. I found one of them; don't ask me where the other one is hiding. Or is it Sizzix? I can't remember.
I thought I had lost my magnetic vent covers that I use to store some of my dies on, but found those. Whew; what a relief!
Anyone else find something that was lost?

Yay Chris, so glad you found your missing stamp! I know how frustrating it can be when something is missing..even if it's just a small thing that you don't really use that often. It's the thought of it missing that drives me nuts, and I never stop looking.
Yes, the tan embossing mat is Spellbinder. I think the Sizzix one is black (at least the one I have is). So far I haven't lost my embossing mats, although I did tear my Sizzix one, so I bought a spare. I usually die cut with my Big Shot and emboss the dies with my Platinum 6, so haven't had to even use the Sizzix spare mat yet.
I thought I broke my Big Shot the other day when I ran a Gemini die through and it made a horrible cracking sound, and jammed. Argh!! Turned out it was the plate cracking right in half, and twisting it into a big hump. I'm so lucky it didn't break the machine. I should have stopped when it got hard to crank through but I was impatient. I've had to replace plates before, but never had one twist into this horrible shape and crack in half.
I've been doing a very deep sorting and cleaning of my craft room so I've been finding all kinds of things I couldn't find before, but nothing that I thought I'd actually lost. On the other hand, there are things I thought I could put my hands on, that are no where to be found. I know it's here somewhere though, because I haven't crafter anywhere except for home.
By the way, I saw that you won a Misti in the Falliday Fest...hooray for you! I don't know if you already have a Misti, but I can't live without mine anymore. As with everything, I am usually the last to get any crafting tool, and I didn't get a Misti until I won one.
Anyway, congrats on that lost stamp..now hang onto it, haha!
Karen .
Completely unrelated to stamping -- I re-boxed about 100 boxes in our basement and had them moved to storage as part of our bog move in progress. I am not hauling that stuff to our next house. Anyway, I found two boxes my daughters have been looking for for five years! Next week I box up the rest of my craft room, got derailed by this basement project, and I'm sure a few missing things will turn up.

My ongoing issue for the past few months is that "the same place" keeps changing, lol. We bought a condo in July and I'm still tweaking all of my organization/storage in my craft room and still haven't landed on the "best" arrangement. I'm getting closer, though!
I do it to myself too. If a call comes in, I rarely sit and talk. I start walking around the house doing things-putting stuff away- and I cant tell you how many dozens of times I move something and accidentally carry 2 things and put them down...so now I am running around looking for item #2. I just did it today with a sympathy card. I had picked up something and put it on my craft desk-well guess where that card was....only took me an hour to figure it out. You would think as often as I do it-it would be the first thing I think of but I am doing it "mindlessly" while talking....heck I cant remember what I do when I am 'mindful" half the time LOL
I have also discovered that items dropped in a craft room instantly develop super ball qualities and can bounce FEET away.

This is it exactly. Several years ago, a die disappeared, and I still haven’t stopped looking for it. I don’t really need it. I just want to know what happened to it.
Karen, I hope it wasn't the gemini die that I sent you that broke your big shot plate. I cut some of them out with my Spellbinders, but it was difficult. Not getting any more gemini dies. They must not be meant to be used in other machines.

No, Chris, don't worry, it wasn't that die that broke my plate. It was a hexagon die that did. You had warned me about the one you sent to me, so I was careful...and it worked just fine. The hexagon one looked just like normal thin dies so I cranked it on through when I should have stopped, argh.
I'll use the hexagon again, but will use a different platform tab and treat it like a Sizzlets instead of a thin die. Weird that the large gemini one you sent me was fine, but that this one was thicker.
I know the Gemini machine is marketed as being really tough and able to cut through all kinds of media, so maybe it's built for their dies.
Karen
Oh, I am glad it wasn't the one I sent. I am sorry to hear about your plate though! I am glad the other one is working good for you.
I got my Misti in the mail today! I am looking forward to playing with it!

If you've never used a Misti, you are going to just love it! I never even knew I needed one until I got mine, and now I can't stamp without it!
