Do you remember when you were a child and jumped in mud puddles? Messy? yes! Fun? yes! How about finger painting? So messy but so fun. I want to take you back to that fun because when you are having fun your art will flow. Also if you aren't having fun why are you doing art? So my challenge for you is simple to get your fingers messy. Dip them in paint, smear your ink with them, spread texture paste with them. What ever you do at least part of your project I want you to use your fingers. Then to make it mixed media add some other mediums however you want.
For my sample I did a layout in my Bible Junk/Art journal. I made a journal out of junk mail, and church bulletins. I stitched them together. Since there was stuff on them I covered the pages up with white paint. Then I used gel sticks to scribble words on the journal; words about love and kindness. Then I sprayed the words and used my fingers to smear the words. I did mono printing over the pages. I smeared the paint on the plate with my fingers instead of brayering it. I added texture with the bottom part of a head of lettuce. After that I stamped flowers and bees and wrote my scripture using a sharpie marker.
I hope you will have fun as you play along with my challenge. When you are done upload and share with us. Use the KEYWORD; MIX407 so it will show up in the gallery and we can ooh and ahh over it in the gallery
I did get messy and use my fingers on a card last night but it’s a sample for a future challenge so I can’t post it. Fun challenge. Thank you

Tooooo much fun, MariLynn! Most everything on this card was made with my 10 little fingers. Alcohol ink doesn't wash off very well, you have to use, well, alcohol!
Hi! The title of this challenge instantly reminded me of something my Dad used to always say to us as kids, complaining about our "...sticky little fingers."
