Best printer for card stock?

I need a new wireless printer and was wondering if one model handles thicker card stock better than another? My current HP deskjet 2652 often balks and pulls the card stock in at an angle.

Not sure whether you want to purchase a new printer or not -- or whether it's time to replace it. But, with most printers these days, printing on heavy card stock (including watercolor paper) is a challenge. My DH explained to me about the printer rollers. The first set of rollers do the light-weight work of pulling in the paper, and the second set does the heavy-weight work. So, for example, if you want to print on heavy cardstock, use temporary adhesive to adhere the heavy cardstock to a single sheet of copy paper 1/2" down from the copy paper. Then the light-weight rollers will pull the copy paper into the printer for the heavy-weight rollers to pull the rest of the way. Hopes this makes sense. It works for everyone I've shared this hint with. ;)

Thank you, Cheryl, I’ll try this option....guess I’ll have to modify the”size” of the paper by the extra amount of inches of the copy paper, since I use it primarily to print my own snarky sentiments on the inside of my cards! I would buy a brand new printer if I knew there was one built to handle card stock. I had an old 1990’s HP that recently died, but wow, it was great with card stock!

I have a Pixma printer because it has a feed slot in the back made for heavier weight paper. That way the CS doesn't have to curve around the rollers. I learned about the Pixma here on SCS a few years ago. I'm not sure of the best keywords to use for a search, but there was a good thread in the tools and products forum.
