Good morning! I would skype, face time or Facebook message video with whoever! Fun!
Hawaiian and I used to FaceTime. But she called me I am not sure how to call you.
I took a photo of all my VSN cards yesterday. I need to mail out some of them today.
I will put the photo over in the VSN Chat. Oh, now for trying to put the links in the Virtuoso thread.
Good Morning! Love all the funnies! Did you see the one where the dog is on top of the refrigerator and the owner with leash in hand is trying to get him down. The caption is something like “we have already been on 20 walks today!”
Good morning! I caught up on all the chatter I missed but I can't remember all of it. I too would love to video chat with any of you. If you pm me your facebook link to add you as a friend I can call you Sharon. I also have what's app.
We still do not have any cases in our small town so I got to see my grandson yesterday. None of us has gone anywhere out of town so we figured it was safe. He is trying to crawl and he loves to make faces. He just melts my heart.
I got all the cards done for vsn and the last alpha round. I got the photos taken yesterday and will upload as soon as I get more tea.
Here is a site that you can use to come up with color combos. I use it when I'm stuck.
Good morning. Last night I called my class ladies and cancelled classes for this month. Decided better to be wise and cautious than sorry. How are you all doing today?
Good morning! It is sunny here and my nose is already going with allergy reaction. It had died down when it was drizzly. Of course, this is the day I go to town!
DD2 is in her bedroom all set up for her first virtual class. I think they are using Zoom.
I got a text last night from a friend who moved up to western Oregon. He is in the age range that is in danger and he lives all alone. He texted to let us know that he has been confirmed to have the coronavirus as well as pneumonia. They aren't concerned about the coronavirus as he has apparently had that for a couple of weeks. But they are very concerned about the pneumonia. The doctor prescribed FIVE meds for that and they wouldn't even let him go to a drive through pharmacy to pick them up, Kaiser delivered them to his doorstep. Please add Mark to your prayers.
Gracie and Jayne, it sounds like you had a fun crafting session!
Is Sadie doing any better today?
Shelly, love that photo of the penguin. So sweet! And glad you are feeling better too!
Kandie, love the funny about crafting in yoga pants....hmm, I need to acquire some yoga pants so I can do that! lol
Sharon, that's a good idea to post a photo of all your VSN cards in the VSN chat thread. I cracked up at that joke with the dog on top of the refrigerator. Honey doesn't go for walks, she has no interest and we don't have a dog stroller. Yesterday I talked DD2 into joining us for a family walk around the loop in our neighborhood.
Annette, that is a fun color link you shared. Thank you! I also cracked up when I saw the funny you posted.
Hi Melody! I'm doing well - other than allergies, and that is a minor irritation. How are you?
I'm trying to refill DH's migraine shots but they are saying it needs pre-authorization. We got that last month and its good until next march. The only thing I can think of is that I tried to refill too soon. The doctors office is working on it.
Speaking of allergies, it’s mid-50s here and sunshine, so Dusty and I went for a stroll around the back yard. She sniffed the ground and I looked at the forsythia bushes trying to bud. Now I have a runny nose!

Ann, were your ears ringing? Jayne and I were talking about how amazing you are with all that you do and you do everything so well, too! What's that old saying?...You could run circles around us! LOL
Sadie is still trying to recover from her eye infection. She sure isn't herself. Poor girl!
I am spending way too much time reading on this computer! I need to get some more cards done and pick up the mess here.
Prayers for your friend Mark, Catherine. Pneumonia is a direct result of Coronavirus, I believe, as I watched of video of a Dr. explain how Covid-19 attacks your lungs. I'm surprised they haven't advised him to go to the hospital, unless there's no room.
Hi Kandie, don't you just hate crumbs in the bra! LOL Glad it's sunny there today! We used to have wild turkeys in our yard back in Wisconsin all the time.
Sharon, maybe we can Facetime later today...I really have to get my cards done. Get my butt off this computer! Hah!
Stay well everyone! DH is serving brunch now...strawberries and waffles with whip cream! Maybe that will get me motivated!

The nail salons closing really put a crimp in my nail routine, but after reading lots of articles on gel manicures, and researching best UV LED machine to buy, I finally ordered a machine and gel polishes through Amazon, and did my own nails! WHOOHOO I like this! Don’t have to leave home and I can sit in my jammies!
Looky! It’s not perfect, but it sure works for me! (Much cheaper too!)

My cousin posted on .facebook a photo of her self done toenails. LOL. She is old like me and couldn’t reach her toes easily , and her nail polish was all ten years old. I didn’t think it looked too bad! We all take a lot for granted, don’t we.
Catherine I prayed and will again for your friend Mark.
Gracie, I need the gel polish to keep my nails stronger because otherwise they break or tear up past the quick and get so sore. Regular polish doesn’t seem to work (even Sally Hansen brand, remember their ad, Strong as Nails, lol). My DD2 and DGD both pick the polish off their nails!
Hey! I just thought of something! With my new and improved (isn’t something either new OR improved?) eyeballs, maybe I can finally see well enough to polish my poor toes without painting half my foot each time.
Eight VSN and 1 alpha to finish. Only one done today.

DH’s DGS is a firefighter and his wife is a nurse. She is sick, so they are both self-quarantined while they wait to see the results of her virus test from the hospital.

And then there's me who doesn't want to be bothered with nail polish. Because I played (sort of) piano and typed, I've always kept my nails super short.
Kathy, the gel nail polish is really hard on your nails if you don't keep it up. I had a hard time getting if off the only time I had my nails done. I ended up cutting them very short. You have to use full strength acetone to get gel off.
Kandie, I have many friends who have beautiful gel nails. I admire them but I just can't stand anything on my nails. I can do regular polish on my toenails...to hard to pick at them!!! HA HA

I used to be able to type with long nails, did it for years. Now I can’t seem to hit the right keys even with short nails, lol. I have an annoying habit of turning my fingertips sideways and then I hit the keys next to the one I meant. Ugh!
Oh Kathy, you do not want to hear how hard it is to get gel nail polish off. It either has to be sanded off with a small nail burr, or roughed up with a rough emery board, acetone (has to be acetone) polish remover put on cotton ball and placed on the nail, which is then wrapped snugly in foil for 20 minutes or so, and then the polish is scraped off with a special tool. Then nail surfaces are sanded smooth with a fine emery board, hands washed with water to get the dust off, no soap, and ...
THEN you can start polishing your nails. A salon can do it in 45 minutes. It took me three days just to get the old polish off!

It was so nice outside today, I went out and cleaned out my asparagus. Pulled all last year's dried up plants off. Certainly not perfect, but easier to pick when the new growth comes in. Turned off the thermostat for the day and opened doors and windows for awhile.
I'm glad I asked! Sounds like gel nail polish is not for me. I will stick with my Sally hanson hard as diamonds. I don't paint them a lot because I am a picker.
Lots of chatter, ladies! It was a LONG day in town today. I was at work longer than anticipated and then it took a while to do the shopping. Still no flour on my grocery store shelves. It is crazy.
Kandie, will add your DGS and his wife to my prayers that they are OK.
Your nails look lovely!
Melody, I keep my nails short too precisely because of piano and typing. I have kept them short for so long that, when they get any length to them, I say my fingers start complaining that they can't breathe...LOL.
Thanks for praying for Mark.
Kathy, were you able to get your DH's migraine med filled?
Wow lots of chat...let me see if I can remember it all.
Thinking of Catherine’s friend and Kandie’s GS and wife...hope they are ok.
Kandie I paint my nails using Gel Polish....Sally Hansen does a similar brand...it comes off easily,..well with lots of rubbing..with ordinary nail polish. I use the top coat too that makes it harder. You have just reminded me that I need to take it off my toe nails. I leave it on for weeks lol..slack. It usually stays on my finger nails for about 2 weeks unless I’m crafting or doing dishes...at the most 10 days. I don’t have any on my nails when I’m doing lots of craft as it can chip. I’ve painted mine for years. I got a nail fungus at a salon so won’t go back, plus the gel they put on had to be removed with acetone and my nails have never been the same.
Sharon, Annette....anyone who wants to..I am happy to do a FaceTime group craft hookup and I will stay up late so it doesn’t affect all of you ladies and your times. It was fun with Gracie. I will find out how to do it and let you know and let’s make a date. I’ll check my social calendar but I think I’m pretty free for a while lol
Love the funnies ladies. Kandie I didn’t do yoga but did a Leslie Sansone 1 mile walk today..gee that got the ticker pumping lol.
Melody I’m glad you are staying safe.
Ann, yes your ears would have been burning...you are a legend. Come and FaceTime.
Hi Shelly, Karen, Shirl, Sis Vicki, Linda and anyone else I’ve missed...waving to you all.
Time to check Kathy’s thread and then seize the day. I hope to do the tulip fold with the poppets..still haven’t done it.
Hugs everyone

No, we did not get his meds filled. The doctor's office never called back so I will call him in the morning. If they can't fill the shots he's going to need more pain meds until they can.

Sorry to hear that Kathy. Hopefully, they will call in the morning.
Hi Jayne, yes, let's do a group FaceTime, that would be fun! I posted 3 cards today, so I only have 1 left to do. I'm watching a movie with hubby tonight.

Kandie, hopefully your dh family will be ok. Prayers for them both!
Nail polish, yes use Sally Hansen's hard as nails if I let my nails grow out. My middle finger on my right hand, the nail will grow out but it splits in two right away. I have got it caught in my hair so many times and it tears so far down and is so painful!
Well, I am tired, it's off to bed for me! So busy with having everyone at home, which I am thankful for, but I am the one making lunches and dinners as they are working all hours! But all I think about is I am happy I can do it!!
Hugs to all, and to all goodnight and sleep well!!
I am taking Viviscal - a supplement for hair and nails.
Speaking of toe nails, when my oldest son got married I placed the red nail polish I had on my nails and toe nails. Left it on my toes for a long time! Wrong thing to do! My big toe nails have never been the same. They sort of are wasting away. Growing back but very slowly.
Goodnight Ann! Sweet dreams! My little finger on my right hand has been split all the way down for 3 years. I wonder what causes that? I have to keep it cut short so it doesn't catch on anything.

My nails are not real rounded, so if they get even about 1/8" grown out, they bend backwards really easy. I've never been overly style conscious. I'd rather be comfy, and not take forever to get ready, so no nail polish, no makeup except lipstick and blush (& only when leaving the house).
I told DD1 about the FaceTime crafting and she said, "You should do it! I want to meet these ladies!"
When I went outside to go to town, my car was covered in pollen which was no surprise since I woke up sneezing and blowing my nose. However, I am thankful that, the entire time I was at the stores this afternoon (Sam's Club, Walmart, and Winco - local grocery store) I had no desire to sneeze. I know it is just allergies, but other shoppers wouldn't know. I was thankful not to make anyone else nervous.
I hope they get the meds straightened out for your DH, Kathy.
when I was younger and in school I bit my finger nails so they were always short. I'm not sure when they started to grow but when they get too long I cut them because it never fails if I don't I catch it on something and then I break them. I rarely wear makeup and if I do it's just a little liquid foundation. I used to wear mascara but I'm afraid to with my eye issues now.I don't ever wear lipstick. It never looks good on me.
I think as I get older, I'm less apt to dress up and put on makeup. I've never been one to wear fingernail polish. I'm with Melody...comfort for me these days! I do love to wear earrings every day. I have so many pairs of earrings from when I taught 7th grade and the girls always loved to see what earrings I was wearing each day.
OK, Jayne, you heard it we want to set up a FaceTime group...probably on the weekend, since Catherine still works. Yay!

Kathy hope that your DH gets his meds quickly.
Catherine I sympathise with you and your allergies. I feel as though I have them all year round. Yay if you come on the video chat too. We need to set a date that suits everyone.
I have 2 nails that split all the time on my right hand. I can file them, use hard as nails polish..nothing works. The Dr told me it’s common in older people..but I’m still only 29 *wink* lol
I’ve just made my tulips and waiting to hear back from DIL1 to see when we can FaceTime and make with the poppets. I’ve been trying to make this happen since last weekend...when I’ve FaceTimed them they haven’t wanted to make craft. I think they are having too much fun being home schooled lol.
I shall check out the challenges. I wanted to do the tickle challenge but the book I’m reading is about Australia and the war in Singapore ....fiction. I’ve been trying to fi ish it for weeks. It’s one of those books that you can read a chapter, put it down and pick up weeks later lol. DH says why do I bother but I’m a persistent little thing.
Right into my craft for the day and then puzzles later. Oh yep and birthday cards..still have those to sort out and mail.
Sleep well everyone.

I love earrings. How about we make our FaceTime a jimjams (pjs to you ladies) party and a pair of earrings lol. No makeup...I don’t wear a lot anyway..only a bit of mascara, blush and lippy. I prefer the nude look.
Rightio...I guess if we can make it around arvo your time which would be arvo here too..would that work ladies? Then it doesn’t affect dinner or brekkie.
Let me investigate how we do it. Back soon. Enjoy your movie Gracie. We are watching Blacklist on Netflix..gruesome but so good.
