I hear you. I used to keep stuff stocked just in case. This year of course has been completely different. I only have a small freezer which never was an issue. I would make a big batch of stew then put it in containers in the freezer. Then I would arrange for my son to pick it up. The soup in the pressure cooker made 9 portions.. So the same. But I went into the grocery store on January 18 and then not again til July 17. Since I live in an apartment I can't grow much, I would usually go to farmers markets don't know if I will do that this year. My building is 13 floors with 9 units per floor of mostly 2-3 bedrooms. I wear a mask and the elderly couple do to but that is it. That is 3 people out of the whole building following the rules. Not good odds.

You too Jayne. I am having my yogurt before striking out on my walk. Then it's out for breakfast (take out window, eat outside on a picnic table at the marina) and at some time today, I hope to go kayaking. Was going to do it first thing, bu t it is only 15°. But there is also the front lawn to mow, and some weeding to be done. Just writing a thank you card to my brother, so I can get it in the mail, when we go out to breaky.

I got a birthday card in the mail yesterday! Thanks so much Sharon. It is beautiful and that is a card fold I have not tried yet. Very cool. It only took 20 days to get here, for a trip that I could drive in less than 2 days. Very (for us) hot and humid yesterday, so I took a leaf out of Lynn's book and took it easy. Puttered in the garden in the shade for awhile, then sat and read in the shade. With no air conditioning, it's pretty hot inside. Here's a photo of my 'happy place'. And some more flowers for Lynn.

Lynn....it’s arrived....your huge Sanitise hugs....I’ve just been to the mailbox and had your postcard and 2 cards from the States. I’m a lucky girl today. Thank you for thinking of me. I love the quote on the front. Hugs back.
I’ve also just been to the PO and sent happy mail.....still have more to write out and mail...I had so many cards and thought what am I going to do with them all, so I decided to spread them around the world and send paper hugs. I have a very long list so it may take me a while to get to everyone, plus I’m redoing some cards I don’t like. I probably would have dumped some cards but I know how much blood, sweat and tears and frustration went into some to make lol.
I’ve also been very busy and done heaps of jobs today and some I was putting off.
Now I can relax and Ina’s happy place sounds perfect. Have fun

Jan, neat and tidy, it is not, but I had just weeded that patch. My gardens are filled with brown eyed susans. They are all volunteer plants (one that I have not planted or seeded) Last year I had a few in the front bed, this year they are all over, even in the lawn. I don't have many trees, so I depend on my neighbour's trees to give me shade. That is why it is my happy spot. I can sit there and read a book in the afternoon. Kathy, your happy spot is wonderful too. Stargazing is awesome, but there are still quite a few mosquitos, so I can't be out long.

I am not getting out much so I have no idea how bad the hugs are but I do like Ina's happy place. I would guess mine is with a book. Cat seems to want to be with me now that she is 13.
Grumpy is booking camping at the end of August but he knows how to protect himself from bugs.
Lynn, the hugs are never bad. We've been missing the hugs. But the bugs are not bad this year. I think it's because it has been so dry. Only a few mosquitos out, but every one seems to find me, if I am out after dark.

I did go to
Panera and meet my two gfs for coffee/tea. We sat from 7:45 till 11:15 and visited! Solved all the world problems! There were only two other tables in whole three room place! You wear masks going in then you don’t have to at your table. You feel like you are in there by yourself.i guess most people do either carry count or drive up. I enjoyed it. Afterwords , two of us went to Christopher & Banks. I had two 10.00 coupons and got three tees and a pair of slax for 18.23! I love that kind of shopping! Anyway, the kind of therapy I needed!
I went out! OK 30 minutes but still out. Most of it in the car. I saw a real live person!!!!!! I went to the gluten free bakery and it has been more than 7 months. Rice cakes are OK in a pinch!
Anyways! Date squares, lemon bars, strawberry coconut squares, butter tarts, raisin scones, another type of scones and some buns! Yup!! When I got home all I wanted was to throw up. Uggh.. The heat does it to me. So when my gut decides to cooperate I will get everything sealed up and into the freezer. On the way to the bakery I was thinking of tea..a scone..clotted cream and jam! That must have been Oct or November the last time I had that!
Oh right. Toronto goes stage 3 on Friday. The rest of the province is already stage 3. The biggest problem is where we have water. Like Florida everyone is flocking to the beach and forgetting about social distancing.
The GF bakery had a sign.. No mask no service! I like that
Well Lynn, the municipaities that have beaches, should close them down and police it. My DD live in Keswick (just up the highway from you) and at the entance of town there are signs that say 'Beaches closed, access to beaches closed'. The licals police it really well too, bacause they do not want beach parties.

One of the popular beaches erected fences. A portion of the beach is only for locals. If you are not local..you check in..complete a questionnaire and get a wrist band. when the max number is reach everyone else is sent away. The police are there for support

Grumpy dropped off stuff from Costco. Since Friday Toronto will open, I thought I should go out today. I went to Michaels for a planner for next year. Then I checked out a store that is closing. They didn't have many people or stock left. Next the Euro Deli for yummies with potato salad and Cole slaw! I actually felt like a normal person..then my glasses fogged up from my mask!
Happy weekend..current status..covered in ink and gesso. It’s been one of those days. I need a wine to recover lol. Have fun

Gracie I have lost my mojo lately too. We need a craft morning or evening...any ideas when we can get together and anyone else who wants to join in? I did make my R card but I copied off JMs video. I made some panels and tossed them and started my tickle card that has one layer on it. Try the MM challenges I sent you. Maybe the layer one. Just run with it and see what happens lol. Copy the video..I think making a start is the hardest. I don’t know how designers come up with ideas all the time. I can’t do it.

Jayne, yes, I could use a stamping partner to inspire me! My mojo has been missing in action. I could get on Facebook or whatever, Saturday or Sunday night. That would be your late morning or early afternoon. Let me know what you think. Anyone else is welcome too. My internet isn't the best, but we can try it and see what happens. I'm off to bed soon.
