This is my first February 2020 entry for using old and dusty items from my cardmaking stash that are ALL at least five years old, but the labelmaker is over 15 years old! The old items are: old BINGO card, old DYMO Labelmaker/ with 3/8" black tape, patterned paper scraps, seafoam seam binding ribbon.
Here is my card: A Lucky Birthday Card!

For this one, I was inspired by an embossed dove leftover from some Christmas cards I made back in 2012. And, I was able to use up a bunch of mini pearls that have been languishing in my stash for too many years.

This card uses the retired Snow Much Fun set (neglected for quite a while) along with designer paper that I am not sure if I have ever used yet - Misti, I am right there with you! I could use dsp on every card for the rest of my life and most likely never use it up, but for some reason, keep buying it when is it is discounted (mostly non-SU at the moment). I cannot resist Graphic 45, Stamperia, Ciao Bella and a few others! Help, I need an intervention, lol!!

I needed to use up these last 2 already cut poppy die cuts from my stash so they did not get damaged.

Ladies, so thrilled to see that you are busy using up your neglected "stuff" (as hubby calls it, lol!)!
I have created over 50 different cards lately that I have not posted yet to my blog or gallery (I am so far behind on the posting)....
Here are a few recent ones that I had a chance to type up and post:
SC243 A Man Plans by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers This one uses a newer SU set, Country Road that I have now owned for over a year and this is the first card that I designed with it....pitiful, I know!
SC42 With Deepest Sympathy by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers This card uses two fairly neglected images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
SC311 I Can Do All Things by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers This card uses a Technique Tuesday stamp that I bought at least two years ago and have never inked yet plus some long retired SU hostess pack level I paper (Concord Crush)
TCC130_SC122 Irish Blessing by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers This card uses a retired Verve Stamp, Blessings - I have owned for several years and this is the first time it has seen ink (I am sensing a pattern...) Also used the heart punch and misc papers from my stash
Hugs to all of you and I am hoping to catch up on commenting soon!!

Here is my card using more of my discontinued DSP and brads from my stash.

Love this challenge. It gives me the incentive to use up what I have - not that I will ever run out of things...

2 more Christmas cards added to the stash using stuff that has been patiently waiting in the lands of Unfinished Projects, Abundant Scraps and Forgotten Goodies.
I can't speak for the rest of you, but I'm finding that, as I get older, I'm relaxing - I realize that every card does not have to be a masterpiece or one that has me jumping with delight when I see it finished. There are plenty of people in our lives who would be thrilled to receive a card from us - whether handmade or purchased and that it really is the thought that counts. So, whereas in years past, I would have probably trashed the Peace card as being too plain, I will send it to a shut-in from my church. So many of them are so grateful that someone (who doesn't even know them IRL) takes the time to send them a few cards each year, they aren't looking at it, critiquing every detail. I say all this simply to encourage each of you to USEIT (whatever "IT" is) and send that card, even if it isn't your favorite. It will make someone's day to receive it.

Thanks Debbie for that perfect reminder! I am my own worst critic when it comes to creating as well as mailing a card!
I need to remember that the people on my prayer list do not really care if it is the most layered/embellished card in the world but that I am thinking of them and praying for them!
I truly enjoy the creative process and need to focus now on the mailing process!
Hugs and thanks for sharing your heart along with your beautiful cards!

This card was designed using the retired By The Tide (one of my all time favs) and the current Divinity Designs LLC stamp set, Scripture Collection 4. I have not inked either of these sets in quite a while and created this card for The Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #130 Sketch...
WT782_RRCB130 Come to Me by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers
Hugs and so thrilled to see so many of you using up your "stuff" (hubby's nickname for my stamping supplies, lol!)!
