Default Winnie and Walter creative screenings words

Ok...so I made a boo boo and bought something I don't know how to use.

The Winnie and Walter Big Bold creative screenings in various word sets...

for example I got this one

https://www.winniewalter.com/product...3b338bb2&_ss=r

I thought I was getting stencils but actually they are masks of the words which I have never worked with before...

It seems like all I can do is use pixie spray, stick em down and do a background or whatever and lift it again? Is that right?

TIA

Are they not already sticky? The only ones I have that were bought as masks were TH ones, and they came already tacky. I've used them as you describe. I'll find an example. Those ones you linked to, it sounds as if they do have matching dies.

Ok, this isn't the card I was thinking of, but it's one I can find.
SC387 Colour Mask

ETA, this is the one I was trying to find: MIX 5 Masked

If the ones you bought are words rather than shapes, they ought to work well as a sub for die-cuts in this tutorial: Die Cut Masking Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers

I love the look it gives.

Ok so I am right. Well it will be something new for me to try. Thanks Sabrina for those links. If I start with colored CS that's another choice too. Maybe on alcohol paper too. We will see!
