I’m making a collection of cards( all
Occasion type) to donate for a charity auction.
1) have any of you done this?
2) how did you package/basket them up?
3 have any photos if you did?

I originally made this bag for a friends birthday gift, but I have made several more for charity auctions. Cards are in individual cellophane bags and popped in the bag with some tissue paper sticking out of the top and tied with raffia.
I attach a small tag and write the number of cards on it. The cards are not visible, but the bag and gift tag is what gets the ball rolling. Hope this helps.
no photos of this but, one time I did it as a years worth of cards so, some birthdays ( male and female) an anniversary card, an I am sorry want out of the doghouse type card, a sympathy card, all the holidays. so, it was said to be a card for each month of the year type of a thing.
now a days I fill little gift baskets with Christmas gift tags. (the tags are in clear bags sized for them like what you do with your card/envelope combo's) and because they are in a basket people can walk their fingers through them before they buy their tickets. The last one in the lineup is a black top hat that was filled with "matching" wooden snow tags. The others have assorted ones in them, but it gives you some idea.
(photos are of different baskets over the years) (for a couple of years the school did some "spring" fairs and so, one of these shots is not Christmas)
I have done this, usually a set of five cards with envelopes. I have done Christmas, feminine birthday, masculine birthday and assorted. I packaged them in a bag from the tutorial section, Card Purse or the A2 Card Box in the tutorials. I decorated the bag or box to help "sell" them (done for a silent auction). They were always a popular item.
When my daughter was in high school, an annual auction was held in early November as a fundraiser. I made a gift basket each year that would include 12 Christmas cards, 12 Christmas thank you cards, 24 gift tags, a Christmas planner of some sort and then whatever else I was moved to make -- some years it was stamped gift bags, others it was gift card holders.

I’ve done them before because I LOVE basket raffles and it’s always a good way to help out a good cause and clean out my stash. Mine usuallly have like 20 cards in them and I like to put them in the bag/baskets that I make using the tutorials here. Here is a picture of one filled and one before it was filled. I also sometimes will add postage stamps or pens into the basket.
