Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending SATURDAY, July 6, 2019
Yes, yes, I know I was here starting this thread just last week, but that was so last month. It's a new month and my regular turn to start our CAS Favorites thread. I've picked out some great CAS work that caught my eye this week and invite you to join the party by sharing those CAS creations that found their way to your favorites folder this week.
White Daisy card by Daizy-Mae Viv's choice of dies for over her colored rectangle just fascinated me. Done in white on her white card, it added so much interest.
Roses by whippetgirl Lee Ann's beautifully colored blooms, as well as the tall thin font of her sentiment earned this beauty a place in my faves folder.
WT747 ~ Glitter Tape by sistersandie If you love the look of glitter but not the mess, Sandie's got the card idea for you. Her glitter tape provides lots of sparkly impact without any mess.
Let's Celebrate! by MiamiKel4 Kelly wins the prize for my favorite of my favorites this week. Love the red, white and blue and her design is wonderful.
F4A489 Wild Thing by beesmom Maura really rocks it with this one. Her silhouette animals really stand out against her fiery sunset.
IC709 Comfort by Biggan Birgit's score lines totally work for her design and really step it up.
IC709_Tyre_Planter_Inspired by Jay_Bee It was Janine's color choices that first caught my eye in the gallery. These are not colors I gravitate to in my own work, but wow! seeing them together, I found them quite striking.
Your turn - what can you add to this week's list? And which ones of mine were in your faves, too? Tell me!
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
--------------------------------
And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
If you have favorites to share that don't fit as Clean and Simple, we encourage you to share those favorites in the regular Favorites Thread. I will post the thread once it is available
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button. 2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites." 3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy. 4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line. 5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links. 6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
