Default Please let it snow!

So am I the only one hoping-hoping-hoping for a big, beautiful snowfall? All I can think about is a wonderful, peaceful day at home with my family while stamping and scrapbooking, with some hot tea and hot chocolate thrown in for good measure! Then we can go sled riding Sunday afternoon!

My 16 yo is supposed to go see Hamilton tomorrow afternoon (she scored a free ticket from her friend's parents!) so she's hoping the opposite, or that the snow at least holds off until after the matinee.

Nope, I’m not hoping for snow. But then again, I’m a Floridian so...

Haha, my husband is not wishing for snow, either! I forgot mention in my OP that we are somewhat in the path of the snowstorm headed for the northeast. That is the snow I was hoping for! My husband said as soon as our youngest (in 8th grade) graduates high school, we are heading south for the winter.

We moved to Las Vegas to get out of the snow (Syracuse, NY) and mostly I don't miss it, but the scenario you described sounds cozy and do-able. I'll skip the sledding, though - you have to go outside for that, and that's where they keep the cold!

Yes! I'm in SW Michigan and ever so tired of gray skies. A big snowfall would be beautiful and bright! Plus my grandkids could come over and go sledding on the hill behind our house. I love cozy snow days!

I'm always hoping for snow but since I live in San Diego, we're highly unlikely to ever see any

The thought of staying inside on a snowy day and just enjoying family, drinking hot tea and stamping sounds mighty cozy!

Everyone in snowy/cold weather, stay warm and safe please!

We've dodged the bullet all winter so far! In SE Wisconsin and our snow total is 3.5" most of which came in November.

Now we're in a winter storm warning for tonight and tomorrow. All depends on how things move and also Lake Michigan.

Not too much, please! We're not able to shovel or snow blow anymore, have to have help.

I'm with you, Sue! I grew up in a little farm town NW of Syracuse and although that lake effect snow was great as a kid, not so much as an adult!! I still have a lot of family in the area and most of them are counting the days until they can move south. I do like a rainy day once in awhile as I'm more inclined to head to my craft room! I do have fond memories of sledding, skating, and cocoa!

You can have our snow! We got a little over 16 inches last weekend, with the electricity going out and not coming back on for 22 hours. It was cozy all right in that we were all layered up, next to our fireplace. That is the only gas burning piece of equipment that will work without electricity. We have more snow coming our way this weekend, in a few hours.

If you get the snow, I hope you enjoy it and are able to be cozy.

As the only Canadian replying so far... our prairie winters always include snow. Some winters more, some less. We usually have some mild spells where the snow settles some, and then get more. Right now we have about 6 or 7 inches, there are a couple inches in the forecast. I could do without it from now on, I would love to be looking for spring already! But we’re pretty hardy around here. It has to be very significant or super cold to get a snow day. Hoping for an earlier spring but one just never knows. I have ceased putting any hope in the groundhog....

Sorry, but I've had enough snow. 12" last weekend and at least 6" more tonight with lots of wind. It's one thing when I say I wasn't going anywhere anyway, but another when you actually can't go anywhere. HA

We got 20" last weekend and I was hoping to spend all Saturday making cards, but instead I spend most of it shoveling off my driveway, my deck and my neighbor's driveway. Oh well, got my squats in for the month.

In northern Colorado on the prairie/foothills, we have had what I call a perfect winter. Not too many cold days and, so far, snowless. The mountains have had tons so the skiers are happy. Poor East Coast, I hope y'all are prepared!

I am in Ontario..2 hours north of Toronto, So far our snow is almost non-existent! Last year was a bonus year but according to all the signs of Mother Nature snow is going to be sparse. Don't mind a bit!! LOL

I despise snow. I work for Parks Dept. We have to work when it snows. No calling out. So that means that it doesn't matter if all transportation is down and an emergency is declared we have to risk life and limb to report to work like any other essential personnel. Shoveling snow and salting pathways for 21 years has destroyed my back and shoulders. It's cold, wet, miserable, backbreaking work. People tend to take for granted the people working in the background to make the city functional during these storms. The only time I want to see snow is on a Christmas card.

I love ❤️ snowstorms unless we’ve had tons of snow. I’m in WI and it’s been green all winter. Also, very gloomy. The snow really brightened things up and today was a clear, blue sky day. Loved it! We got about 7”.

Thank you for what you do. What all snow removers, power restorers, and other weather related emergency personnel do to keep life moving. It’s always in the extreme conditions that you are needed most. We are grateful!

I don't like the cold. I don't mind snow as long as the streets are clear.

Nicole? Are you safe and sound? Did you get the snow? Living in the south it's a BIG adventure to get snow. I always worry about my husband having to drive as the south pretty much just waits for the big orange snow plow in the sky to work its melting magic so it can be very treacherous the few times we get snow.

Memories popped into my FB page, last year on this weekend we had snow! A good bit of it. It was in the high 60's today. No snow happening here even though the weatherman keeps predicting a winter mix, it keeps missing us.

Yes! The snow storm was beautiful! I made a pot of stuffed pepper soup and cheddar cheese biscuits then spent the day crocheting close to the fireplace. It was almost surreal. Our street has those old fashioned globed street lamps and the swirling snow around those golden lights made it seem like we were living in a Christmas card. Northeast Ohio enjoys 4 stunning seasons, but winter will always be my favorite!

The soup and the fireplace and the snow sound wonderful! I have relatives that live in NE Ohio and I get jealous of all their snow.

Angie, we barely got anything! We were about 20 miles too far south of the snowline of the storm. Boo! It rained all day Saturday, then snowed a couple inches overnight so when we woke up for church, it was a pretty winter wonderland. Winter is definitely not over yet, though, so there is still hope. I feel like a real nut talking like this, but I really do love the snow and cold.

Wow! "sewnmachine" your day sounds absolutely wonderful!

Nicole, I think it's nice to hear someone loving the snow! I LOVE the rain! If I lived up north I would probably love the snow too. Having lived so long in the south now it just seems like a bother.

I am glad you are safe. Sorry, most of it missed you!

I live in upstate NY and we got 24 inches of beautiful white fluffy snow! It was a great day to craft and watch football! Today the sub zero temps are crazy......I prefer the snowy days!
