Wow....Suz, Sis Vicki and Susie....gorgeous panels. The mermaids are awesome and Susie your lady looks mighty fine to me....gorgeous colours when I checked out your original. Everyone has done some awesome panels.
Ky, thank you for this challenge. I loved it even though I didn't create a scene in the end. I think I'm more a slap it all down and see what happens girl...lol.
Happy Thursday everyone

Here’s the panel I started yesterday. Now finished. Highlighting items on the panel with the crackle was difficult and I lost some crackle along the way lol. I decided to try clear gesso on it to seal but it just rubbed the pencil over where I had stamped. Thank goodness for baby wipes. Unfortunately it discoloured my words but I decided they add to the effect.
I found my gel medium and it took 3 of us to open it.
Note to self: remember to clean thread on
top of jar. The gel medium was better for sealing but some colour was transferred from the brush to other parts of the panel. Another eek . Part of my clock also came off and found its way to a different part of the panel so I left it. I’m happy with it.
TFL. Happy day.

Sheesh, the like issue sure makes scrolling back difficult - I'm dizzy.
Finished this too late to take a proper photo today.
I used a graphite stick to add a shadow behind my snowman and am really pleased how that looks, and I also added some white and silver doodling. I drew my framing lines on the card base, since mine isn't an art journal page, and stamped some snowflakes too before sticking the mixed media panel on. The bird was on my desk, so I added him because the snowman is looking in that direction. And then to finish I die-cut some sequins from acetate and stuck them all over. In some places the glue has taken up the colour from the spritzing stage, but that's fine. And because I'd cover the stamped word Winter on the tissue paper, I stamped it again over the snowman.
I had fun with this - and look forward to working my canvas up into something else apart from the challenge prompts. I'll get this photographed and uploaded tomorrow.
