Default Hello! New but not so new!

Hello! My previous username was Kerilou--havent been active in 8 years so started a new profile with my current email. I had previously been a very active stamper and scrapbooker, but after a divorce and all the life changes it brings, my life was completely turned upside down and i haven't paper crafted in years. In search of a little positivity and peace in my life after these last 8 years of struggle, I would like to dip my toes back in the water and make a few cards. Thanks for having me back!

Hey Keri, I am in the exact same situation. Just started a new account since I haven't been on here in years. My divorce caused major purging of craft supplies to my daughter in law because I was determined I would never craft again. now I'm in a new house with a craft room and am just starting to restock my supplies and get back into crafting.

Hello Wendy! I think i was the exact opposite. Enduring three moves in three years, I managed to hold onto all my supplies even though most of it was put in storage. Unfortunately being a single parent and having to work two jobs put a damper on the creative time. Then I met my current boyfriend and he owns a dairy farm so now its still hard to find the time. I have decided that i need to get back to what makes me happy, even if I'm using 8 year old supplies, that most would say are outdated, and it takes me a week to complete half a dozen cards, I need to do something for ME!

Welcome both of you!

Keri-dont worry about 8 yr old supplies. I have some old stuff too. Most new stuff is just easier ways to do the same stuff we were doing before anyway. Heck-since I got a lot of stamps on ebay-I have some over 20 years old! LOL

The people we give stuff to have NO idea what is new and not anyway!

I am sorry you had that hard road to walk. I am glad you are making some time for you! 6 cards a week is LOT for a lot of people here-me included right now.

See you around the boards!
