2017 Cards For A Cause
NOVEMBER MISSION
Stamp from the Heart!
ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House Description of Organization: The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House� is a �home-away-from-home� for families with critically-ill children, keeping them close to one another, their doctors and needed medical care. The House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child � not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House has 12 bedrooms and is located across the street from Huntington Memorial Hospital. Families staying at the House will have access to a fully stocked pantry, meals prepared by volunteer groups, computers, a large yard with outdoor seating and a playground. Activities are coordinated by the House with volunteer groups to help families cope while their child is receiving treatment. Those activities have included pet therapy, recreational activities and parties. Since opening on Valentine�s Day in 2004 the House has served more than 20,400 children and their families. TYPE OF CARDS: an assortment of blank, kids birthday, adult birthday, various holidays and anything else that you may want to send us. Please include envelopes if you can.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: NONE. other than children ages infant and older, so nothing sharp or choke hazard.
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

here is the color mood board for you to use if you wish...this is OPTIONAL you can use colors, shapes, or texture, it does not have to be christmas related.

Sorry I've been MIA for the last couple of months dealing with the twists and turns that life brings sometimes. I hope to get some cards out this month to this wonderful group.

The cards that have been sent are beautiful! We appreciate receiving all of the handmade, lovely, and creative greeting cards! We put them out for the families to use, and they are amazing! Thank you one and all for taking the time to brighten someone else�s day who you will most likely never meet.
