Question. If there is more than one challenge for a day, can I do all them them and have them each count or must we do one daily? For example, today is color challenge and teapot Tuesday challenge. If I do both is that two towards the 7 or just one for the day? I'm over thinking this I'm sure.
Oooh, I would not have guessed that! And I don't know why! Now it seems so obvious, lol! So not a yeti, but I need to do this one week!!!
PS: LOVED seeing pictures from y'all's retreat all over my IG feed!

OK. I'm really confused. No tutorials need to be listed in the yeti thread? And any challenges in the challenge forum? Only one a day or if there's more challenges than one in a day we can do two or three a day and count them all?
I am chiming in with a question, too about yeti status. Do all the tutorials have to be completed? I know the 30 challenges do, plus this new component, but what about the ten tutorials?
Lydia- Do we upload our completed links after the Challenge Yetis period (post October 31st)? That being the 30 challenges, a certain number of tutorials we have completed, and our 7 daily challenges? Thanks in advance for explaining.

Kathy each of these have a special keyword that will put them into a gallery. We will also include the daily challenge keyword and link to that thread. I don't know if Lydia will have a thread for the keyword.
This is awesome!!! I am so excited to try new challenges! I have played in some of the daily ones off and on through the years. And I LOVE today's color challenge! Off to get started while DH and DD3 watch the World Series (love that my stamp space is in our family room!).
Ha Ha Ha!!! I outsmarted myself. I had all 30 cards finished and nine of the tutorials. In order to finish the last tutorial I stopped at the store the buy shaving cream--and got it finished also. Before checking for Lydia's thread, I thoroughly cleaned my messy stamp room. Much to my surprise, now I have seven more cards to make. I see another cleaning day in my stamping room. Regardless I have really enjoyed this--and know I will enjoy the daily challenges. This has been a wonderful stamping event. Thanks to all who organized it and worked SO hard on it. I can only imagine what your stamping rooms look like
Not sure what to do for Lee's challenge. I don't have any of the right kind of glue for the glitter. I used Stickles but then rubbed it around with m y fingers and it's a mess now. I've wasted several pcs of cardstock now and my mojo isn't flowing either lol!
I didn't do the challenge either but my thought is...
I would take some adhesive (I'm thinking like the snail stuff from SU that you roll on rather than DST) and adhere some glitter it on by pressing the glitter inot the adhesive. I would do this on a scrap piece of cardstock (think SMALL) then I would cut it into a shape and use that on my card...
Remember...they have said in the past, there is no wrong way to do these challenges but they are supposed to be challenges thus a little more than our comfort zone!
I can't be pushed out of my comfort zone at this current time in my life so I just backed off from the edge and am enjoying the slow journey that I am in doing that challenges that aren't challenging me!!!!
I'm rooting for you Rebekah to do what you can...breathe deep and try again...

Just knocked out another Tutorial...so 3 to go..the gesso is drying overnight, the brain is churning trying to think of a die cut for the shaving cream one and the idea for the two tier is firm just need to execute it. The 7 daily challenges for Yeti sound fun and challenging. I read the directions as doing them on a daily basis...so since I didn't do one for today, I will be working right up to the wire. LOL! So what else is new--story of my life.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
My gesso piece is taking forever to dry. I probably used too much. And I keep getting other stuff on it, finally moved it to whole other room for drying. Now to remember it! LOL
Finished and uploaded a card for today's color challenge. So trucking along. LOL

Almost. The tutorials are not a yeti requirement. Just the 30 challenges and the 7 dailies
So that's the link list you will post. The tutorial requirement was last year's yeti challenge.
Question. Do we have to actually have to post one yeti challenge card per day or just make sure we have done 7 of the daily challenges but have them posted by the 31st? Reason I ask is because Ive done all 30 FF challenges and was waiting to see what the yeti surprise was but am away from home on a business trip until Friday. Can I create the additional 7 and post on the weekend?

Of course! Doesn't matter when you make or upload, as long as they are for these challenges! Now you'll have lots of time to ponder and plan them!

So this means I could be done in less than 7 days if there is more than one challenge a day? Like today was teapotters and color challenge. I can do both and have two towards yeti status?

You have to do one from each of the days between now and then. So you wouldn't want to do two today
The goal is to try our daily challenges for a full week
oh that is a relief, I drive all day this week on Thursday and I am relived to see that day's can wait for a catch up over the weekend.
Its all down hill for me now though, this totally pushed me into the color combo tonight
Lydia, if I do each day challenge Tuesday through Sunday and then Tuesday of next week would that work. I am having a total knee replacement surgery done on Monday of next week and will not be home until Wednesday sometime. (But I can do the Tuesday Color Challenge before my surgery because I am on the Color Challenge Design team this month and my DH has graciously agreed to upload my card for the Tuesday challenge for me. (I would do an extra one just for the Yeti status part of this challenge.) Just checking.

As a daily challenge hostess...what a super-cool Yeti qualification, Lydia! I'm glad I'm not aspiring to be a Yeti though, or I'd be skiing downhill beside Stacy, colour challenges freeze me stiff.
Rebekah, I like Faye's suggestion. Some techniques that have stretched me (straw blowing, dripping inks come to mind), I just punch or die-cut something from the piece and it doesn't look so bad and at least is proof I tried. And makes a usable card. But I also wondered, if you squeezed a little Stickles onto a craft mat, rolled a brayer through it and then brayered it onto the card? If you do try this, just remember to dump the brayer into water right after, or wash it ;-).
Brilliant yeti requirement!! You know I love it. I'm so happy that we'll have so much more company in our daily challenges.
Watch out, yetis, you're going to get totally hooked!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Falliday Fest?
Just looking at the numbers this morning - looks like we could come close on the uploads, which is great, but that comment number is making me sad - if you have a few minutes this week, paw around in the gallery and leave some love for your fellow participants!
Great idea for the Yeti portion of Falliday....I highly encourage potential Yetis to try the MIX challenge on Friday (wish I were hosting this week)...Its kind of the underdog of challenges. We would love to have more participants!!! :p Its really fun and theres no need to be afraid of Mixed Media...you can do it!! Try it, youll like it Good Luck Yetis!
Dorothy, list ONE card per challenge for your yeti status. Adding additional cards just makes it harder for the person who verifies to check all the cards!
Reason I know this is because I did this one year a long time ago. I felt so bad, never thought about all the work for that person!!

Sabrina - this suggestion led me to try something a little different. I have a couple of large bottles of glitter glue (part of a yard sale grab bag). Putting it directly on cs resulted in ugly globs. I put some on a piece of waxed paper - spread with a coffee stirrer, and placed my die cut directly on this. Great result! Nice and even and not too thick.

I'm a little behind on my commenting, but I'm having a blast looking at all the cards and getting to know new (to me) stampers! I think we can get much closer to that comment number.
Polly, I was thinking this morning, when I read the yeti challenge that maybe more people would join in the MIX challenge! I've just made a teapot card for the first time. Woohoo!
Yes, well —. I’ve been doing daily challenges regularly for years. I rarely do the teapot challenge, however, and rushed a couple through early this morning, whining about yet another card drive without an address yet, and having already finished the color challenge card. Then I find out that we mustn’t do two different challenges in one day! I’m tripping over gremlins this morning!
I also did all the tutorials, thinking it was required for yeti status. Silly me.

Brenda, I hope that they're all projects that you can use! I have to say as tutorial coordinator it is such an encouragement to see so many tutorial samples in the galleries - sometimes it's just the author, me, and Kathy!

I'm thankful SCS is so large that there are enough places to find comfort, pleasure and still a place to learn too.
I rarely post in the gallery unless it is for DTGD or FF, I struggle with all the steps on the computer and when my husband is no longer able to help me then there won't be any cards posted in my gallery...
I am also grateful for those who post links and help me get around on SCS!

there are a lot of people here who can help you with the step by step how to do these kinds of things. It will take some time to learn it but, girl you can do this. look at the projects you have made if you need to you can write it down and keep the instructions near your computer so, you have it handy to walk through the steps.
Thanks for the clarification on Yeti status, Lydia! I love the ideas of doing 1 of each of the daily challenges- they keep me challenged and are so FUN

Assuming I ever clear enough space on my phone to download an app, does anyone have any photo editing app suggestions for android? I don't like that I can't crop my phone pictures, but if I could edit them I would probably upload/participate in the daily challenges and tutorials more often. My big camera is a lot more steps, plus I keep losing the battery charger in this house.
