How to block mount clear stamps.

I know I'm going against convention. I like my stamps on wood blocks and I have one clear stamp set with small images that I'd love to mount onto wood. Has anyone done this? Any advise about adhesive or if I should use a foam cushion layer?

are the stamps rubber or that clear stuff?

I have done it tons of time to unmounted rubber stamps, the same company that makes cling foam also makes the foam to mout rubber to a wood block.


thinking now a days its crafters companion? ( not at home so, can't check the stash of foam)


I did once upon a time get a clear see through stamp mounted to a woodblock from an ebay seller and I have no idea how they stuck it to it, it didnt last long so the clear stuff either didnt like being glued to the block or it was inferior materials...

Thanks for replying. I just checked my OP to see if I overlooked stating the 'clear stamp set'. It's there but probably easily over looked. No worries.

I'm all good with knowing about mounting and using the adhesive foam with real rubber.

Good to know about the clear one that fell off though. Was it just adhered directly to the wood or was it cushioned with some mounting foam?

its been so long now I dont remember? ( I ended up pitching it) the "clear" stamp part of it became gummy and un-useable and I had assumed it was the adhesive they had used to mount it to the wood that maybe had a bad reaction?
