Kim- Wahoo! And, how do you blog while driving? Curious!
Shelly
LOL! Guess I need to clarify...
My husband was driving! Plus, I was not actually blogging, just visiting everyone else's blogs and posting comments from my smartphone.
Technically, I could blog using my phone, but it would be tough. Either the typing would take forever, or the voice recognition would need lots of correction (it doesn't do well with white noise in the car). Who knows, maybe I will try it on my next road trip!
The trip to Chicago was great! My husband and I participated in the March for Life Chicago with approximately 5,000 other people! The temp did not reach 10 degrees, and the windchill was below zero, but we had a wonderful time. My husband pushed me in my manual wheelchair, which meant I was sitting low...everyone around me was blocking most of the wind! Plus I had 4 shirts on, a heavy coat, 2 pairs of Cuddle Dud pants under my jeans, a blanket on my lap, hat, scarf, and hood on my head, gloves on with hand warmers inside... all for a March that was about 1-1/2 miles plus a rally outside.
I am happy to be sitting inside today! LOL
Need to make two more January birthday cards this afternoon...hope to post tonight. Have a great day!

Hi Ladies
Just wanted to pop in for a minute, see how you all are doing.
I've been busy writing courses and blog posts for my site. Haven't had much time to scrap or make cards. I did make my next two for the Sketch Saturday blog. Excited to share them!!
My daughter turns 16 tomorrow (that is just crazy to think!). We took her to the big city on Saturday for sushi and shopping. Her grandparents are coming next weekend, and we are hosting a Mary Kay party on Friday (because the rep lady really wanted to make a party for Kyla). I'm stressed just thinking about it all. Hopefully I will find a few minutes to run away to my creative space and play!
Kim, I'm glad your DH was driving. ;) (I actually understood that from your first post, so I didn't panic.)
Rhoda, happy 16th Birthday to your daughter!
Today I'm going to spend a chunk of time in my "Working Studio". (yes, my playroom finally has a name. Sheesh! It only took me 2 months to come up with one.
Oh, and did I mention we never made it above 16 degrees yesterday, it is currently 12 degrees, and it's supposed to start snowing this evening and snow ALL DAY TOMORROW?!?!?!? I'm. so. ready. for. spring!
HI ya'll! We are back from camping in rural middle of nowhere - a place I'm pretty hasn't been discovered yet, LOL! Big fun, but big work and was never so glad to sleep in my own bed and wash off 15 layers of dirt!
I made my blog rounds - I may have missed a few, will try again. I hope the blog roll is up to date - would hate to miss anyone! If I didn't comment, just let me know - I'll go back around √
Kim, lol on blogging and driving - creative one! I am glad my phone lets me check in with a few here and there, as it gives me the chance to visit I normally wouldn't have, since I am not taking my laptop anywhere Whatever works, right - lol.
Rhoda, Happy 16th to your lovely 'little' lady! That's such a fun age - enjoy!
Scattering hugs!
We have snow, snow and more snow........ schools are closed today and I'm suspecting Brock's workplace will be, too, but still waiting to hear that. We have a lunch Bible study (DH is leading it at the church we just left) but I also suspect it will be canceled. The joys of winter. I. am. so. ready. for. spring!
I did manage to snag some time in my Working Studio yesterday. I had great fun making 4 cards! I might even get to make a card or two today, too!!!
Ladies, I need some help. I've been making the rounds of blogs... and as happens every time I do, when I go to Rhoda's blog, it looks like a business blog and I'm having a difficult time finding any cards/etc. Where do I need to look?
Hello everyone! Just stopping in real quick to see what I missed in the last few days.
Jeanette...we've been having Spring like weather up until last week. We have been so spoiled here in NJ. This week we're having a blast of normal winter weather and we're all in shock for some reason. We're told to expect about 18" of snow this weekend.
In Rhoda's toolbar, she has her blog listed. Her business articles are great, too!
Rhoda, happy birthday to your daughter!
Kelly, I'm glad you survived camping!
Kim, sounds like your walk and rally were wonderfully successful, and cold!
To everyone else...big hugs!

This new circuit training workout has me whipped, plus with meal planning and learning/shopping how to eat more carbs is driving me nuts. Also, my other half looks like he'll be moving up to central coast temporarily to help out his 96 year old grandmother after the unexpected passing of his uncle. So lots of influx over here. I guess the silver lining in all of this is that I'll finally get the place all to myself for at least a month to craft til my heart's content with NO interference about all my stuff being spread out, or how much time I spend on it, how I'm taking him our communal/his space, how I'm ignoring his hunger needs, and why I'm not doing any chores..etc. Um, am I the only one that gets like that when I'm crafting? All else gets ignored until I finish my layout/card?
FYI – I am leaving tomorrow morning for an out-of-town meeting and won’t be home again until late Saturday night, so unless I pop in again later today, you won’t see me again until Monday. Have a FANTASTIC weekend!!!
Leaving a trail of gasps and giggles....
and friendly (((HUGS))) too! ;)
Hi ladies,
I am trying to keep up..... don in Kentucky again- Dad had a collapsed lung and the chest tube they use to treat it was leaking, so off to surgery he went. When the chest tube leaks, air leaks under the skin- usually just up the chest- but he looks like the Pillsbury doughboy! He went to surgery on Wednesday and is recovering beautifully.
I am also keeping Mom in line at home- a little touch of dementia, so cannot be left alone......
I did bring some cards I put together at home, just need to add coloring for the Bugaboo B-day bask- pretty CAS and nothing overly special, but barely have time to color. Almost done though!
Hugs to all- have a fab week- heading home on Sunday PM and will have Monday to catch up on household duties and blogs.
I haven't been around to much this week. I had a job on Wednesday and then while I was at my job on Wednesday got requested by another teacher for a job on Thursday. So everything got pushed back a day! I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to their weekend!! I'm really hoping to get crafty! I've been doing organizing stuff all week and I'm ready to play!!
Good rainy morning, all! It seems it rains EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY here! And I know that because my son is on the run club and it's been cancelled every Friday!
It's been hard getting back into the swing of this week - I'm literally dragging. My dd's bf pointed out you DID GO CAMPING FOR 4 DAYS! As in, zero sleep, lots of activities, so maybe my body is just screaming for a rest, I dunno - LOL
My daughter is singing at the Rodeo tomorrow! We are super excited for her - and we are hoping the rain goes away.
Shel, prayers for your dad ........ and mom, too! You are a wonderful daughter and a blessing to them, no doubt.
Just got back from a nice dinner and much needed date night to celebrate passing my 90 day probationary period, if there's still such a thing. i'm having a ball at the new job even though I'm super busy, but definitely happy to be celebrating.
Time for bed, early morning work out and then off to help my cousin set up, attend the party, then clean up for her daughter's 3'rd bday because my niece is super cute and my cousin is heavily pregnant with her 3rd baby.
Just when life was calming down, yet another storm rips through. I am not going to stop crafting! It is always the first thing I sacrifice when times get tough, but I need the release. Please keep our family in your prayers. We are facing some serious decisions and touchy outcomes in the next few weeks. We can use all the support we can receive!
I just posted two duos on my blog. I am very pleased with the outcome. I may enter them into challenges if I find any that fit. Who knows. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

YAY for Ching and your 90 day mark! I am glad you celebrated - well deserved, my friend. I remember when you were looking, interviewing, worrying -and now you are celebrating AND love your job - a win/win!
Cindy, saying prayers for your unspoken request and thinking good and positive thoughts for you!
And ALL YA"LL in the way of the snow and ice - be safe! We are selfishly enjoying the splendors of our 38* weather (this am!) to the 50's now - it won't last long, and it's blistering hot here always so this is a welcomed change.
If I could also ask for some good thoughts! My son's audition for middle school is tomorrow - I'm super nervous for him. He's applying for drama - and another area middle schools for merit (academic excellence) but there's no audition for that ~ you apply and wait. We find out both in March. For tomorrow's, it's a performing arts middle school so he had to prepare a monologue, song, there will be improv, interviews, etc. Eek! A few have asked "you have to apply to middle school?!!" Yes and No - LOL! Only if you are entering a magnet or academic advanced school, then yes - you apply, audition (or not) and wait.
Hi to all!
Back from Kentucky tonight- I have tomorrow off work, so will have a day to catch up luckily- lots to get done. Thanks for all of the prayers- so far, Dad is OK past surgery- I was not Confident it would go well, so God must not be ready for him yet! Tomorrow the chest tubes are coming out, and if all goes well, discharge home Tuesday! Mom is a delight to be around, but her memory has really gotten bad. One morning, she got up and asked me if this was the house I grew up in. She had a dream we all lived on the same street at home......
Ching- Congrats on your 90 day celebration! Wahoo! The 3yr old party sounds so fun : )
Kelly- so glad you made it through the camping experience this year! Will keep your son in thoughts and prayers for a good audition and application! And, hope the sun and warmth comes back soon : )
Cindy- prayers for your Urgent request.
Sami- yeah for work hours and getting an extra day.
Cindy, keeping you in my thoughts/prayers. Sorry life is stressful right now!
Kelly, praying for "little man" and today's auditions!
Shelly, was so relieved to read that "Dad" is doing okay. That had to be terribly frightening. I'm sorry Mom's condition continues to worsen. (((HUGS)))
Ching, congratulations on passing the probationary period!
Sami, I hope you enjoyed both "jobs". Did you get to play?
Hi everyone! Just wanted to stop by and tell everyone I just visited your blogs and left some love! Some of you have been very busy!
We just experienced a record breaking snowfall. Three days later and we're still digging out! We've been having springlike weather for so long...this was quite the jolt back to reality.
Just read through to see how you're all doing! Hugs all around!

Good Evening Everyone!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day! Did anyone else participate in the HSN 24 hour craft day? I did... I found a really good deal on something I've been wanting for awhile and I'm happy to say I didn't get to crazy and only bought storage type things! I'll probably do a post on it eventually. Is it fair to say my mom made me do it? Honestly I probably enabled her... Anyway!
Jeanette: I hope you have fun at your meeting! I did get to play some this weekend and you will see the results on my blog this week! and the jobs I had last week were absolutely fantastic so hopefully there will be more coming my way soon!
We continued the Scouting joy last night with the awards and my little man received the Arrow of Light award. Now on to big boy Boy Scouts - and hopefully, Eagle Scout one day ♥
Still running around here - in fact, I have to leave in 20 minutes already - just got home, let the dogs out and dashing off
Sami, I'm looking forward to checking out your blog - now that I'm home again (for a week - then I'm gone for two overnight meetings, back-to-back). Thanks - my meeting was good this past two days!
Kelly, congrats to the little man!
Ching, my Wednesday was good; hope yours was, too!
What's everybody up to today?
I'm not sure what today will bring. We have a Bible Study luncheon, but I also need to make a hospital visit in the nearby city (1 1/2 hours away) so am not sure if I'll skip the luncheon and go do that today or if I'll wait until tomorrow to do it. I'm waiting for DH to wake up and we'll talk about the best plan of action, since either way will require him to be available for Brock.
What I'm up to: Today I went to the eye dr and it seems my prescription is fine for one eye (no change) and horrible in the other (big change) so now I have wonky eyeballs ......... ROFL!!!
Yesterday I was at my regular dr for general bloodwork, and Monday is the Neurologist - maybe between the three of these doctors, they can get to the bottom of what is causing all my trouble (headaches, blurry vision, dizziness.) I know I dont' get much sleep and run around 24/7 but this is crazy.
If not, then I guess being married to a Pyschologist is the best gift, since it must be all in my head, right?!!!! Tee hee!
Today I am up to working on my blog and spending some time crafting because I have few errands and things to run this weekend and am hoping to be able to pick up a few jobs next week! I got some super awesome news today though and I'm super excited! I was trying to keep it quiet before my announcement post goes up on Monday but I'm thinking I might end up sharing it on Facebook tomorrow... because I'm just too excited (You can like my blog facebook page here)

It's another GORGEOUS chilly day here - yesterday was pouring rain, this weather is baffling and crazy! I'll be home for a little while then have to get dd to work - then hopefully home to get inky!
We went to the city yesterday afternoon/evening... made a hospital visit, went to several stores trying to find/buy puppy shots to mail to a certain puppy in Alaska (well, to his "mama") - we weren't successful, ate at Olive Garden, and enjoyed Starbucks on the drive home, too. It was a good day!
Finally found a few minutes to check in. I spent the week subbing in the junior high. Sort of unplanned. There are some issues with the previous teacher so I covered the class for the remainder of the week. Yesterday they asked me to create lesson plans and cover the class again next week. Looks like I may be going back into the classroom sooner than I anticipated.
Posted my latest Saturday sketch (a little late because the date totally escaped me last weekend!) I was so proud of myself because I was two cards ahead and then blew it!
Launched my Pinterest course a few days early. That has taken a little stress off. Just in time!
My brain is being pulled in 3 different directions. Crafting, school, and blog/biz. Phew!! I'm going to automate a few blog things this weekend so I can focus on school and then use the crafting for my down time. Shuffling the brain focus
Thank you all for Kyla's b-day wishes. It's crazy to think she is 16. Stops me in my tracks now and then. Other days it is so handy to have her be a responsible young lady. Like running the new puppy to the vet when I was unexpectedly subbing!
Did a quick scan through the board. Making a note to go check in on blogs. Hope you all are doing well
Good Morning!!! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Today for me is a crafty day with my mom we went to one of our LSS yesterday it's the farthest from our house but we hadn't been in awhile and were already in the area (we have 2, we used to have three but my closest one and favorite one closed) so we bought some goodies and were planning to play with them today! Part 1 of the super awesome good news goes up on the blog at 7AM tomorrow. Unless you like my Facebook page. Part 1 has already been announced there and part 2 is getting announced today!
Hey gang!
I blinked and a whole week flew by. You guys filled up a whole page! I dropped in and left some comments. I set up a table at a free sidewalk sale yesterday. I sold a box of unwanted craft goods immediately. And I sold 3 cards! WOW! What a rush. She said my cards were beautiful.
I sold a car load of other junk we had laying around the house. Made $125. No bad. Dropped the remains off at Goodwill. Gotta purge once in a while.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Things are going in a good direction. Your prayers are helping TONS!
Have a super Sunday and I will post again this week!
