Recycled / reused cards

Some time ago (looong time ago) there was a thread / challenge using old cards to make new ones - can anyone point me in the direction of that gallery or challenge?

1,120 views and not one response???? Crafters... for shame! I didn't respond earlier because the only uses I know of are making boxes and cutting out parts to use on other cards (these two techniques have been around for decades!); oh, and making tags/borders/frames. I hope you can find an answer, because I really don't have the "vision" for any other technique...
