Thanks Barb! I still haven't had a chance to do this......hopefully in a little while! Y'all are the best. They really need a "how to" page on here for dummies like me! LOL!
Oh Lynn - I do hope you manage to get it all sorted.
I am back after a day of driving and family - heavy fog for half the journey this morning, and again when we came back over the top of the hill this afternoon, but it was worth it for the last of the grand children's birthday's for the year :-)
Hopefully I will pop in tomorrow - I am more than a bit tired now :-)
Quickly dropping by to say that I've missed you-work swallowed me whole this past week or so...
Leaving here in a couple of hours for our Board Retreat. "Retreat" sounds so fun doesn't it? Well, it's not. LOL I need to work for some other organization, one that has some fun on their retreats! hahaha We have some serious issues to sort out this year. But we'll do it.
Anyway, be back Thursday evening. In theory I am taking Friday off. Supposed to close of the house refinance Friday morning. If I manage both of those things I think a little celebration on Friday is in order!

Sorry about the foggy weather, but glad that you were able to be with your family for the DGC's birthday.

I'll read back & get caught up when I get home.
Waving and hoping all is well with everyone!
Sorry you don't get to have any fun at your Retreat Darlene. Don't they have a nice dinner for everyone. Where is it held? Be safe travelling. WTG on the house refinance. Hope that all goes well.

Good Morning! This week is flying by! I cant' seem to stop for a second and yet I have soooo many things I need to do at home! 6 more days of school for my son and we're packing a lot in! Tonight is his Open House at the new school, then I have to scoot across to the girls High School to help serve the Seniors their "Senior dinner treat" and watch the show (dd is singing back up for a couple of them).
YAY Lynn, I'm glad you figured out whatever you were trying to figure out!

Have a nice time tonight at DD's Senior dinner treat! I know she'll do well with her backup singing.
I've got one more day of work and then I"m off to Dallas for the weekend. Can't wait. I'm thinking I may take my car early Friday morning for an oil change and checkup before I leave. I wasn't planning to leave here until late morning. I do want to be in Dallas ahead of the evening rush hour traffic. That place is a nightmare.

Sounds like everyone is doing great this morning and just think....the weekend is coming up! YEA!
Never could get that going right on the things I was trying to add under my name, etc. so threw in the towel. Will start from scratch once again later.
Maggie, I've heard that driving in Dallas is an experience - from my DD who has gone through there multiple times to/from other places. Be safe!
It is and my trip up there last Fall when I went for Copics classes was a nightmare! First of all it was dark and I couldn't find the right exit to when I needed to go for the hotel (turned out it was a left exit off the freeway). Then when I pulled off the highway to call my GF up there, I pulled into a Jack in the Box or some fast food place and didn't see a board in the parking lot with nails in it and wouldn't you know that I ran right over it and ruined the tire. Luckily I have a full size tire for a spare besides that little donut one, so I was able to find a guy to come change it for me and he wouldn't take any $$ for doing that. Very nice. It probably took me a good 1 1/2 - 2 hours longer to get to my hotel than it should have. So, I'm leaving late morning to make the trip tomorrow so I get there when it's still light out and hopefully before the evening rush hour. It's also not being held at the same place and looks like it will be easier to get to.

All you have to do now Lynn is go to the Tuesday Throwdown challenge blog, highlight the address up in the browser then go back to your Edit Signature and highlight the "Tuesday Throwdown" in your signature, click on the little world thing up above and past in that link and then save your signature and it should be okay.

I am so sorry for being MIA these past two weeks. After doing my copic classes on Mother's Day weekend I just had to relax. I think the primary reason is that my craft room is such a mess - really a disaster. It looks like a tornado went through it - and it has been that way for awhile.
Every time I went in I just did not have the inspiration to create, so I just ended up walking out - not wanting to deal with the mess. But I really miss crafting.
And here is my true confession - I purchased a Silhouette Cameo at Christmas - I've been wanting one for awhile and the price was good. Well, it has sat in the box in a corner of my craft room since then. Why - because I did not have a clear space to put it!
Finally I had a long talk with myself and started cleaning. I am not done yet, but I have made significant progress. I can see the floor (!!!) - although it does need a good vacuuming. My computer desk is cleaned up. My work table is about a clean as it is going to be - I have lots of room instead of one small area that is cleared out. I figure I still have about a week to go before the room is really cleaned up but I am taking it a day at a time.
The good news - I was able to take my Silhouette out of the box and get it hooked up! I've read about so many people having problems with it and was a bit afraid. I watched a GinaK video on how to set it up - best 30 minutes I ever spent. And was kicking myself about why I did not set this cool machine up sooner. Of course the set up was not without some hiccups. The software included in the box was out of date and would not load. But a simple look on the Silhouette site for the latest version fixed that problem. I even cut out two items last night!!! I can see why people love this machine. I am hoping to get rid of a bunch of my dies and punches.
Anyway - I wanted to check in and let you know I am still here!! Once I finish the rest of the cleaning I will be back.
I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
Oh Maggie, do be safe! I've only been to Dallas once, and that was as a child, so I will cross my fingers that you have a safer, less eventful drive this time around!
The show went marvelous and I was so teary eyed -- these kids are all graduating and sang their hearts out . I know their parents were proud! My dd graduated last year, and dd17 graduates next year, but so many of their friends are gob-smacked right in the middle of them that it's like they are all mine for 3 years in a row! They have been together since elementary and Jr High. One of the highlights for me was the friend that took dd17 to his prom had his mom come up and do sign language for the song he sang- oh my!
I need to catch up on my crafts and cards - holy hanna, I need a break! Dh is working more than usual and that gives me so much more running around than usual - some days I forget what my house looks like and where I live, lol!
Good morning Stamp Addicts! So great to be off today and until next Tuesday. I'm almost packed and ready to heard out in about 3 hours. I think that will get me to Dallas at a good time. Looking forward to the Copics classes tomorrow. It will be a long day starting at 8 a.m. and going until 6 with an hour break for lunch, but I'm excited to be going. I am taking my laptop with me so I'll be able to catch up in the evenings.

Good Morning Ladies!!!! I have lots to do today and we are leaving very early tomorrow morning for the weekend. I will see everyone again either Monday night or Tuesday morning, so until then..........
Sorry to be MIA again...last weekend I hurt the same hand again. I seriously can't win lately and this past week my allergies have been acting up. The top of my hand is healing and I am hoping to craft this weekend. I am looking forward to 3 days of no plans except for getting my allergy shots in the morning.
Kelly - glad your son is finally better! Sounds like the dinner was wonderful too.
Maxine - I hope your DH is feeling better.
Maggie- Have fun at your Copics class. What a long day of coloring, I'm sure you will learn loads though.
Nancy - The Cameo is an awesome machine. I got mine for Christmas as well. I don't know how to do a lot but I enjoy using it on my scrapbook pages. I still find that I use my punches & dies on my cards because it's quicker. Good luck getting the rest of your room all cleaned up.
Barb - hope you have a great weekend!
DT topic - I think there should be a term limit on some teams - mostly the manufacturing ones. It also drives me nuts that they have the same people on a lot of teams. I think they should pick a few "unknowns" to showcase their product. I loved finding new bloggers that way. I was on one challenge team on and off for several years and finally decided the DT life wasn't for me. I just couldn't keep up with the backend of it with the commenting and deadlines. I enjoy being a participant much more :-)
I'm in Dallas at my hotel. The trip was relatively uneventful except for one wrong turn, but I knew it right away and was able to get myself turned around right away so I didn't lose much time. I'm glad I did this in the day time though. I don't see as well in the dark especially somewhere that I'm unfamiliar. I finally ordered me a GPS, and I wish I had ordered in time to have it for the trip, but I will have it soon and won't ever have to worry about travelling again.
I got here about 3:15. Talked to my GF who lives up here and we made our plans to meet up on Sunday morning for breakfast and then I'm going to go over to her house which isn't that far away from here. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant in it, but there is a Denny's about a block away and I could walk to it through the parking lot. I did take my car this time because I wasn't sure if I had to cross the street or not. I didn't. I can walk over there Sunday morning. I went and had dinner there tonight - some chicken, broccoli, and roasted potatoes along with a strawberry/banana smoothie. Yummy. I had one piece of chicken left and some potatoes so I brought them back to the room. They have a refrigerator an microwave in the room. I wish I had known that because I would have brought my own food. I did check the website the other day to see if they had these and I didn't see anything on there that said so I figured that they didn't.
I did see Lori Craig when I went out. She was in our room getting all the tables set up. I said hi, but she was busy, so I didn't try to have a conversation with her.

Great to catch up with the chatter here - we are currently at DD's baby sitting while they got to a 'allergy / gluten free' show. We travelled up yesterday and will be here until Tuesday... fun, as both the littles have come down with colds - just hoping DH does not pick anything up!!
Maggie that workshop sounds amazing! Glad to hear your trip went well.
Barb - enjoy your weekend
Kristie I hope you have the quiet weekend you want - and finally heal up everywhere, including the hand and allergies.
Jeanette - how are all your preparations for Thailand going - will the coup affect your trip?
Darlene I hope your weekend is enjoyable after your solicitors appt, and that the agreement is advantageous for you.
Lynne I do hope you can get your links all sorted and working - nothing more frustrating than thinking you have done something right and finding that it isn't, particularly when it is technical and something you are not comfortable with.
Nancy it sounds as though you have had a very useful time in your craft room - may the results be workable for a long time ahead... - it is something I need to do too :-(
Hi Kristie, I'm sorry you've injured yourself again. Do we need to send a protective layer of bubble wrap or something?
Maggie, so glad you made it to your hotel with little difficulty. Enjoy your weekend!
Maxine, awwwww... that's too bad that the little ones have colds. Try to stay healthy. I think the trip to Thailand is not going to be troubled by the situation there... since we aren't going to Bangkok. I still have some busy work to do, but it's coming along, so I'm not worried - yet. ;) Thanks for asking!
Checking in before heading to the Cabana (the name of my craft room!) as dh is taking Little Man to the range to shoot, sounds good to me! Dd's have a pool party in a bit that I have to drive them too and another has a birthday party tonight. Busy day!
I am sorry to hear your shoulder troubles Lynn!
Glad to hear you made it, Maggie! I was worried about you and thinking of you!
Lunch break! Gosh that went so fast, but we colored 6 images. Had a lot of fun; met some new ladies.
Maxine, enjoy your time with the Littles. Hope that DH can keep away from the germs.
Lynn, sorry about your sore shoulder. Is this something that recurs all the time or did you hurt it? I hope it clears up soon.
Jeanette, glad to hear that the trouble in Thailand will not affect your trip.
Kristie, I'm sorry that you injured your hand again. Please take care and get it well.
Nancy, have fun in the Cabana. I know you don't get much time in there with all the running around you have to do
Just finished my leftovers from dinner last night. Planning to go to dinner with one of the ladies that I med this morning that sat at my table. Looking forward to airbrushing this afternoon.
Nancy, hope that you've gotten your stamp room cleaned up and organized and able to get back to creating.
Gotta run.

Hi all- hope you are all having a fun weekend and enjoy an extra day off work- (I know I will enjoy it : ) I worked today, and am fighting to keep my eyes open now.
I was here to post a few days ago, and could not publish.... (Boo).... So hoping this goes through!
Maggie- I missed which class you are taking- sounds fab though! Glad your trip to Dallas was not eventful like the last one......and the driving went better. I cannot wait to hear what you learn about.
Lynn- is the garden giving you a hard time with your shoulder? I was telling someone at work today- we are just planting our veg's and my blog friend Lynn is already talking about canning her veg's...!
Jeanette- glad to hear the Martial Law in Thailand will not affect your trip.
Maxine- hope your little ones are not crabby with their colds : ) I will be a bad Grand-ma...going to let the kids eat candy and jump on the beds... hahahaha We'll see.....
Kelly- the graduation season is upon us...and all of the parties as well. Oh boy- we know quite a few seniors this year. Once you drop off the girls, will you have some quiet time?
Kristi- sorry you hurt yourself again! Loved seeing the pics of Disney on your blog!
Nancy- sounds like a great idea- I need to spend some time cleaning and organizing too....just as you described- it is like a hurricane went through my crafting space. It is too small! Anyway, I recently purchased a Cameo- I did the same thing- tutorial by Gina K to get it set up and playing a bit- I have the Make the Cut software, so am importing SVG's from Bird's Cards and from my files and made a few stencils- had a blast doing that..... My goal was to NOT buy any more dies. SO far- not too successful....., but I have been happy with the stencils I made- and have used quite a few of them. I love to see your beautiful watercoloring!
Darlene- hoping the conference goes smoothly and is not too painful!
Barb- hope you have safe travels!
We are home tomorrow and having a cook out on Monday. I am also off Tuesday and working Wed and Thursday, then off a few more days- it is my parents 59th Wedding Anniv next weekend and my nephew is graduating from HS.
Well we survived the babysitting yesterday but DH has gone down with another chest infection today, after I spent most of the night in a most inelegant position over the loo - I picked up a tummy bug, we suspect last Wednesday, as on Thursday the other DGS had a tummy upset - oh the joys.
I have had a banana and that seems to be sitting o.k.
Sounds like everyone is falling apart around here! LOL! Hope all are on the mend soon.
Jeanette, so sorry about your trip being cancelled. Know you were looking forward to that. The country over there is in so much unrest right now I don't blame y'all for cancelling that trip.
Someone just told me yesterday and The Alley Way Stamps aren't going to be having dies to go with their stamp sets and going to do SVG files instead! Is everyone getting the Silhouette/Cameo, ect except me! That scares me that maybe dies are on the way out completely - and I'll just have to quit if that's the case. Don't think I could ever figure out how to use one of those machines. They hook up through the computer, right? That would end me right there since I think I'm doing good to get a card posted on my blog usually! LOL!
