Waving to you all as I am gently steaming here - 81 oF and 64% humidity today - gradually starting to cool now. I know some of you get way hotter than that, but as an island nation, that is hot for us... some over on the East Coast have been getting up to 93 oF...
I have not been in the garden - too hot, apart from watering it each evening, so I have had hours and hours in the studio and have got two cards made and a 11 ATC sized cards made for the church 'celebrations basket' - all with scriptures on, and the majority using scraps from my 'promise' box!!
Maggie it's good to hear Frosty has 'come home' and is fit and well - does she need any stitches out, or will they dissolve?
Waving to you from down under :-)
It's 84* here this afternoon. It is supposed to go back down into the 70's tomorrow. I hear we also have a lot of rain coming next week. I'm glad I've been able to get out and walk yesterday and today, although I was supposed to be at a chiro appt. yesterday and completely forgot about it. It was a stressful day here at the office.
I go to pick Petunia up after work today. She had her surgeries yesterday. They said she was doing great and ready to play. I'm sure she is, but she'll be in a crate for at least a week recuperating.
Frosty's stitches will dissolve. I don't know that I could get her back in a carrier for a long time. She seems to be doing very well.

Good Morning--I am wondering if any of you are in a Super Bowl Funk--especially if you are a Atlanta fan? It was quite a game and I do feel so bad for the Falcons and all of their fans--what a melt-down, but quite a comeback by the Pats. Our small Super Bowl Chili Party was fun and we had 4 wonderful crocks of chili to test!
I am headed to a stamp class this morning, along with making the cards from hostess club that I missed on Friday. Then I am heading to my LSS to drop out our bi-monthly swap and maybe check out some of the new items they just got in. The sun is shining today, so that is a bonus! Have a Marvelous Monday!
No Super Bowl funk here. I did not even watch the game. The kids were here for dinner and we played a couple hands of Uno. I went in my stamp room after they left.
Glad you are feeling better and hope you had fun at your stamp class.

Another check in and with a question..........I know some of y'all are Instagram sites. Has anyone ever thought of just going that and not having their blog? Just wondering.......
Mom went to day care today, I have to get ready for the monthly cleaning ladies : )
So, I forgot, apparently, about piano on Tuesdays and signed up Mom and I for a card class- making cards using napkins. I have heard of these classes and have never signed up, but the samples were gorgeous, so I jumped in. Mom had a little trouble with following directions, so I was kind of doing mine and coaching her..... but kept up with the teacher.
After the class, went to lunch, then to a resale shop.... I have that in my blood from my Dad...cannot seem to think- I can get a shirt for less than $5.00, just wash it when we get home and good as new - sometimes, still have the tags on them! Mom found a few shirts and a pair of white pants.
I logged 2 miles for us- she was exhausted from trying on clothes and apparently, walking! : )
My sister came over last night- stayed until 11PM. So, I worked on posting my COF card to my blog. She and mom worked on a small puzzle- Mom has done this puzzle before, just does not remember.
Lynn- I am with Jeanette- love having a blog. I love Instagram as well- quick and easy, but love the blog.
Thanks Maxine- how fun! I am honored! I love ODBD and have never won there before : )
Maggie- too funny that it is so hot there in Feb! We had 50 yesterday and it was so nice!!! I have Iris buds coming up in the garden, but have no clue about what needs to be done or what will happen to them....
Glad the kitty did well. Hope the PT/Chiro is helping with your pain issue.
Jeanette- LOL about the stamp to put on your make-up!
Barb- no SB funk, we were cheering for the underdog, but not heartbroken. Glad your are feeling better too : )
Shelly, I made a card using a napkin one time. Pretty cool technique and there's so many napkins out there that are too pretty to use otherwise! I think I found the tutorial under the Resources page on here.
Just wondering about the Instagram deal. I've noticed so many bloggers - and especially those that have been doing it awhile - have quit blogger and are just posted them on FB or Instagram. I have an account but think I'm going to have to pop for a new phone to take pictures with before jumping into that - if I do it at all.
We were up to 89 yesterday and suppose to be 88 today. They kept saying we'd hit 90 yesterday but it didn't happen. Pretty sure we broke all kinds of records anyway with temperatures that high. No good to have to turn on the AC already! Just makes we scared for Summer to hit now!
Oh, and Shelly, I LOVE resale shops too! One of my favorite things to do and you can find all sorts of nice things there. I even go to Goodwill ever so often but you really have to take a lot of time and pick through it all there. The nearest little town has a Thrift Shop that's run by the Garden Club and they always have "finds". Books for 25 or 50 cents just can't be beat.
Happy Kite Day!!! I heard that on the ministry station this am - came home and made a card because I remembered I had a kite stamp! :-)
Congratulations, Shelly !!! I love reading your posts! It sounds like you and mom are taking good care of each other! We go thrifting as well - we grew up poor so there is nothing wrong with being frugal when you can be !! It's wonderful to get things for a bargain and sometimes find things you didn't even know you needed just because they are a bargain LOL! I don't go to Goodwill very often but we do hit the local thrift and consignment stores where I have bought - and sold - many wonderful things.
Lynn - good to see you posting again, I hope things are calmer for you . I use both my blog and IG and will continue both as long as I can manage ;) Blogs are definitely more tedious but it's works for me (for now) ;)
I'm up and running around - woot! Dd20 was so sweet and drove me to Starbucks this afternoon as well as Michael's (50% coupon today!) and next door is Barnes and Noble - swoon! Super fun afternoon!
Another check in and with a question..........I know some of y'all are Instagram sites. Has anyone ever thought of just going that and not having their blog? Just wondering.......
I have an Instagram account, but I have no idea how it works. Not sure if people will follow on there or come and comment on my posts. I'll just stick with my blog.

Congrats Shelly on the wins. That's fabulous. I sure miss Paper Playful posting the winners for every day, but I can see how much work that would be. I just sometimes forget to go check on the ones that I've entered.
I bet the cards with the napkins are really pretty. I need to try some new different techniques for my cards. Just wish I had more time to play.
My lawn guy came yesterday and cleaned out the back flower bed of all the dead stuff. Not sure why he didn't clean up the front one too.
Petunia is doing well as can be expected being cooped up in the crate. She's not happy about that and I really can't wait until she's able to be out and running around with the other kids. Corey is not too sure about her yet. He hisses at her when he comes out into the computer room where she is. I think she likes it when I'm out here with her.

Happy Birthday Darlene! I left a note on your timeline on FB earlier. Hope you had a great day.
I had to laugh Maggie! I'm the same way about IG. My son set it up for me and showed me how to look at pictures when they came though and that's it. I wouldn't know how to add a picture even if my phone was good. I'm still back on the (don't laugh.....) iPhone 3! LOL! My kids keep telling me to get a new one but this one works so can't see doing that right now. It's slow and doesn't take good photos but hey, it works!
I think blogging is fun, I like being able to scroll thru all of the months and see what people post..... I noticed people are posting less on SCS now- there used to be 12 or so pages of uploads daily!
I cannot keep up with all of the new stamp companies- it is crazy to see all of the new companies in the past year. I see most of the new companies on Instagram.
Thanks ladies- I love the ODBD stamps that I have and do not use them often enough! It is such a thrill to win there : )
Between Pinterest, FB, SCS, IG, Blogging (and whatever else I might be missing), it's already too much for me to juggle with limited time! I'd spend all my time online instead of actually crafting - so I post from my iphone and go, go, go!
This morning I'm home to sweep, mom, wipe down the kitchen, clean my son's room, read (review), blog and blurf and that most likely isn't going to happen in THAT order! :/
I ordered some Copic refills a few weeks ago fro them. Great Company from everything I read. I even added on a refill after I received my confirmation and they were able to add to my order.

Have any of y'all ever ordered from a place called Marker Pop? I finally found a stamp there I'd like but don't know anything about them.
I have ordered from Marker Pop a few times- mostly Copics and refills. I had no complaints.
How on earth do you watermark your cards on your phone? And, how do you upload them to your blog from there???
I can do Instagram on my phone.... that is where I see posts from many new Stamp companies- or at least, I learn about companies I had never heard of before.......
Looking forward to stamping tomorrow..well, today : )
I am leaving it a couple of hours - for two meetings in the city where our state convention is located. I'll be back very late tomorrow night. Sunday will be FULL with church and church... and helping my DH pack. He leaves for the Dominican Republic at about 5:30 AM on Monday.
Sooooo it's going to be a very busy weekend for us. But a good one!
I hope your weekend is great! See you Monday morning!
Good Morning--I am as happy as this kitten that it is Friday! I hope you have had a good week and you have a great weekend planned. We are meeting friends for dinner tonight as repayment for taking care of their dogs recently. Then, tomorrow afternoon, we have relatives coming to go with us to a college basketball game and stay overnight. And, on Sunday afternoon, we are going to a local dinner theatre to see Mama Mia--one of my favorite musicals. Yes, it is a busy weekend!
'Tis a sunny Saturday here with relatively low humidity - bliss :-)
For those who pray, we are in the process of seeking a new pastor for our church, and I am on the committee tasked with this - this evening we have a meeting with a prospective employee - please pray for wisdom for this meeting.
I am missing blog commenting at the moment - just too much happening, including a migraine the other day, and would you believe a dose of impetigo :-( (aka school sores here) Thankfully it's on the mend now, but.... YUK!!!!
Hugs and waves to you all, and safe travels Jeanette.
Thanks for all the help from everyone about that site Marker Pop. I did go ahead and order the stamp early (too early for me! LOL!) this morning and it's already shipped!
I'm really missing on commenting this entire week. Just very busy and next week is even worse with doctors appointments every day except Thursday. Amazing how life gets in the way sometimes.
Maxine I'm sure whoever y'all pick for the new pastor will be the right one!

Petunia did great with her surgery. I've had her in a crate since then so she could heal her paws and tummy. I let her out of her crate this morning and she roamed around looking and sniffing at everything. I had her confined to the computer room where Maggie Mae is. They didn't hit it off yet, but she's exploring the room. I wanted to do this while I was going to be home to make sure everything went well. I haven't been able to keep her still long enough to take her pain patch off. If I didn't let her out today, I'd have to keep her crated for another whole week and didn't want to do that.
So I've got the whole house open up now so the other cats could come out to get something to eat. Before that though I looked around for Petunia. She has found somewhere good to curl up and sleep because I can't find out where she is.

I"m going to make an online grocery order and then finish working on my tax return. Maybe I'll have time to craft. I have a couple projects I need to work on.

Maxine, I'm sorry to hear you've been under the weather. UGH! How did things go with the prospective pastor?
Maggie, did you find Petunia?
Lynn, we like seeing you when you're not busy seeing doctors. ;)
Barb, sounds like you had great weekend plans... I hope you enjoyed every moment!
I hope you all have a great start to the week. Today will be part busy and part fun for me. I have a meeting this afternoon... but this morning I'm going to work on some cards. I have DT responsibilities I need to get busy on. I need to be working on the plans/preps for my big workshop I'm leading in two weeks, but I am not going to do that today. I do plan to do some of it tomorrow though.
