HA! That is a dirty word around here and I would like to have it censored - LOL!!!
Take care, girly! I hope to see you around the web. Do email if you ever head to Lynchburg for dining or shopping. Would be fun to meet-up somewhere.
I'm gonna hit the hay. Hope to see you at the F4A Challenge tomorrow!
LOL!
During one of the band fundraisers, the middle school students were given the incentive that if they sold a certain number of items, the band teacher would have to wear a UVa tie for a school day. The incentive backfired. The kids didn't want to put their teacher through that torture so they made sure not to sell that many items. ROFL.
If you're ever going to be in the Valley, let me know. I'm close to where I-64 E breaks off from I-81.
Well, it's time for me to call it a night. I don't think I'll have the chance to play in the challenge tomorrow, and I have a busy week ahead of me next week, but after Thanksgiving I'll see if I can squeeze in some challenge time in between working on my family's Christmas cards.
{Hugs} to all of you - especially to Lydia for all her hard work to make HYCCT so successful. Congratulations again to all of the prize winners!
Woo hoo - I have to go back and read forwards, but congrats to Vicki, and to "Mom" on the Grand Calibur, and hey!!!!! sleeping with my fingers crossed worked! I'm so happy. I bet the other MFT winners are too.
And we're having a super-duper huge turnout for the Free for All today, yes?
That must have been the chattiest night ever with all the excitement and suspense.
I'm with the shorties - 5'2" though everybody thinks I'm taller - and younger than I am . I'm also sitting in the quiet corner - or even more likely the kitchen, since Dina brought us all in there .
DH came in to drink his coffee and was tickled pink at PH's barfing smilie - he wants it!! (He still has an *Oh the drama" one from last year as the wallpaper on his cell phone, LOL). We both thought tofu turkey sounds a bit much - fake bacon sounds worse to me!! Even in her total vegetarian phase which lasted a LONG time my half-sis would have bacon any time she was over in Ireland. There are so many wonderful vegetarian dishes that even my mother never saw the point in bothering with fake, so we were spared nut roasts et al.
DH also says thanks to whoever posted the words for Down Under - he's been singing a couple of words wrong for years and he never knew it :-).
Time to get ready for work I guess...see y'all at the Free for All.
Thank you for that. DH had told me I could keep the laptop on, he'd sleep through anything he was so tired. But I think I'd have woken him up if I had, LOL.
I already had a wish list, so I'm thrilled - every week I look at the sketch challenge and mean to enter that for a chance to win some $$, but I never find enough time. And I did actually win after the DTGD challenges when I was determined to get Flopsey Reading...
Yea Sabrina....your up and prob now at work....I'm so excited for you....
I had to leave last night to catch my Shockers basketball (they are in Puerto Rico for tourney) and missed the last prize drawing.....Congrats Ros.....see y'all, I'll be looking for all of you here on SCS.....
Thx soooooooooooooo much to all the fabby hostesses, sponsers and to Lydia for all the hard work putting this together....It was a wonderful time and makes me mushy inside to think of the pile of cards that have been arriving in Houston....
Did I dream it? Back to read the thread and make sure it really happened.....
No, you didn't dream it, but isn't it exciting?! I could hardly sleep thinking about all that I could do with my new toy and Edgabilities! The Card Ministry design team is gonna love it too!
I called my daughter last night and sqeeeee'd to her all about the fun we had. She was happy for me and all the winners. She's been doing something worthwhile with her craft too. She's been knitting scarves and sending them to Special Olympics.
So
I knew who won before I caught up here (CONGRATS!) but I have to tell you that I was so excited and tearing up when it was announced. Vicki tha'ts so exciting. I believe it was a pay it forward for donating to my walk. I'm forever grateful for that.

I hope to catch up with you all and work on the F4A challenge around 2 my time. Never done that one before.
Last night at work I got a note on my training module that I had a new one. Weird. Then I went to clock in and there was an envelope there. PANIC! The envelope held a new schedule with a new position. almost 20 more hours on my schedule now and I get t work market! It's basically the grocer position there. I'm STOKED! I'm hoping that this is all a sign that I've impressed people and that I have a good chance of staying on after holidays and maybe eventually being there full time-is after my baby starts K.

Yeah, she shocked me too excluding you from the ladies ;-). But maybe it takes one to know one, LOL.
Hope you're feeling better today from your migraine, Lee.
Back from the last grocery store trip until well after thanksgiving. Spent $102 saved $83. ANd yep that included two max packs of chicken and loads of tday prep and dairy. I already had two turkeys.

I'm a freaky couponer and our store has what's called Just For U pricing. it tracks what you buy and you get lower prices every month or so on things you buy. Like today I got boneless skinless chicken breasts $1.88/lb. That price is good thru the end of the month I think. doubled up cereal sales (1.99 check) with coupons $1 off two.
In general tho I don't buy anything that is prepackaged or single serve or anything. Heck my kids think juice is a treat too LOL
