New from Missouri
Hi I am Barbara and I live in Arnold, Missouri (a suburb of St Louis). I am a mother of 2 wonderful boys, Jake will soon be 12 and Brendan 16 in December (god help all the drivers out there!). My amazing hsb is a firefighter paramedic and we will be married 25 years in May.
I worked almost 30 years in emergency medicine with a stint on Oncology and then Kidney transplant/vascular unit before having children, went part time and worked room control in admissions. I was a SU consultant for 8 years and loved making cards, never much on scrapbooking for some reason! I also do folk art painting and recently took up face painting, well my bff talked me into doing her daughers 6th bday party, someday I will learn to say NO LOL!
When my mother was diagnosed with colon/pancreatic and liver cancer I quit working, doing art and quit SU to take care of her. I am glad I did but I could never quite get back into it (art was something we did together). I volunteer and sub at my sons school but most of my days are open. I started looking for idea's for our 25th wedding anniversary party and saw all this new cool stuff, I can not believe what is out there! I am so excited, my husband, not so much LOL! He just smiled and said UhOh how much is this going to cost me LOL!!! So I am glad to be back in the art world and I love this site, I have already found so much info and gotten some great idea's!
