Hi everyone! My name is Kathryn and I just joined this week. I reside in lovely Hartford, CT. I'm married and my husband and I have 3 adult children. I started scrapbooking a few years back, but now I enjoy stamping and cardmaking.
I have been looking at this site for a while and checking out the great stuff in the gallery and learning new techniques from the resources section.
I hope to start posting some of my cards soon--when I get the time.;)
I'm so glad to be part of this wonderful community of crafters!
Hi Kathryn and welcome from another newbie! I just joined last night, after having lurked for a while. Also a scrapbooker-turned-cardmaker or something in-between the two (depending on the day, lol).
Hi everyone, my name is Mary and I live in Cambridgeshire in the UK. I have been making cards - many rubber stamping - for almost 10 years and took up scrapbooking about five years ago. I am looking forward to learning new techniques and picking up lots of tips from everyone!
Hi Mary and welcome to you too! You are in the right place for tips and inspiration! Check out peoples galleries (they often have a link in their signature) and enjoy!
Stephanie

I, too, have just joined and can't believe I didn't know about this website before. I am really looking forward to new ideas and concepts since I have been making cards for a few years, and my brain just won't generate anything new for me.
Thanks to everyone who is welcoming me! I feel so happy about being a member.
Understandblue, thank you for the links and now I know who to go to if I have any questions.
Welcome all the new members from Long Island, NY! Thsi si such a funa nd supportive online community that i am sure you'll enjoy whatever time you spend here.
I've met several other members IRL by attending gatherings (posted in the Get It Together forum). There is one in Hartford, CT in March 2011 (it's full but I'm sure the ladies wouldn't mind if you joined the thread to chat). Here's the link in hopes you might make some local crafting friends:
Thanks for the kind messages of 'welcome' I'm still a little unsure of quite the 'right' way to use the site but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon!
