Default can someone please help me with the cricut siziing

I am trying to cut the tree with the swing from the just because cartridge. I want to do the tree at 7 1/2 inches, when I punch that size in, it only cuts it at about 3 1/2 inches. So then when I punch it in and press the real size button, it cuts it out the way I want, but then it won't let me layer the leaves (the shift function to do in a green) it will cut it HUGE at real size, and if I shut real size off, it cuts it super tiny... what am Idoing wrong????

any help at al lwould be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, I am so tired of wasting this good paper!!

When you press the Real Size button, does the screen tell you what size the Cricut thinks you're cutting the tree at? If so, remember (write down) that size, then cut the leaves that size.

I have to do it this way when I cut something at Fit To Page and want to cut the accessories to match. I'm guessing Real Size might work the same?

Cut the tree using Real Dial Size and then turn RDS off and cut the leaves at 7.5, they should then fit a tree that is 7.5, hope this works, do you have Design Studio? Sometimes I find it helps to lay it out on the mat in DS and actually layer the pieces on top and see if they fit then move them and cut them separately
