Lol, I thought a RAK was a Receive And Keep thing. Thank goodness for the list, I was going crazy coming up with imaginative meanings for half of these acronyms. My first adventure was trying to work out what a VSN was....but I managed to hunt that one up.
Great site. Lots of lovely people.

Hi, pj --
PM stands for Private Message. When you click on a person's name in the left column of a post, one of the choices in the drop-down menu is to send a private message to that person. When you receive a private message, the little envelope icon at the top right of the screen will show the number of your unread private messages instead of a zero. You can click on that envelope icon to go directly to your inbox.
If you want to test how it works, you are welcome to send me a PM and I will answer you.

I started rereading from the first page. All I can think of is: OMG! Our English language is in trouble! There goes the (fully)written word :(

Wonderful list
[QUOTE=parisotremba;38562]

Hi members! Below these quoted words from a terrific stamper, Parisotremba. I'm adding an updated list of acronyms you might have noticed here on the site. Thanks to Paris for starting this up originally!
TexasGrammy
Thank you for the great list of acronyms and their meanings. This will definately help me understand more.

In some of those listings, DD stands for Definitely Decorative. There's more info on the SU site:

I've been trying to figure out what the "ho" business is all about, but I haven't been able to get anyone to explain it to me...
Speaking of HOs. You need to add PIMP to the list (peed in my pants).

Someone helped me out with the Ho thing... here is the answer:
Quote:
'Ho' isn't an acronym... Being a 'Ho' refers to being a 'swap ho'. Swap Ho's' are a super committed group of swappers, who are almost always in swaps together, follow strict swap etiquette, and generally look out for each other. A swap ho can never flake (not turn in a swap they've committed to doing without communicating with the hostess). They will try to help other Ho's as much and as often as humanly possible. I LOVE my Ho's! They are as close as, if not closer than my own family, and they always have my back!

Ok, I give up
I have searched and not found - what is a LOSTie???? I know it is mostly used in the TV Talk forum but the threads I read had nothing to do with the TV show Lost, so I give up. Educate me, please :-)

I'm somewhat guessing ... but it seems to be a name claimed by those who have befriended others due to their joint following of the TV show, "Lost". ;)

How does CASE or CASING work? Don't quite understand that? Thanks from a newbie.

To CASE is to 'copy and share with everyone'.
Some people use the word CASE to imply that they literally copied the card from one they have seen.
Others use CASE to say they have been inspired by a card they've seen but changed an element, such as the stamps &/or colors, but kept the rest of the elements the same.
HTH!

I keep seeing CE and know one thing it stands for is Crystal Effects. What else can it stand for? When I read some of the posts it makes no sense when my brain translates it into Crystal Effects. TIA.
