album/gallery? What's the difference

:oops: I'm rather new to this, but....what's the difference between an album and the gallery? I've added a couple of cards to the gallery--is an album a completely different beast?

I have a ? too. When you upload a pic, does it get cross-referenced into more than 1 gallery? Ex:Upload into My Gallery, will it go into the A-Z galleries? Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

When you upload a pic, it goes into your gallery automatically, along with the gallery for the set you choose when you upload.

We've added all (I think) the new catalog stuff, as well as the Holiday mini that we can pre-order from starting tomorrow. Go nuts filling the gallery, ladies. Just don't make *us* nuts by not categorizing your uploads! There are several galleries - here's a sweeping overview:
- By set name
- By Technique
- Anything But A Card (sorted by type)
- Scrapbooking
and a few others, too

OH! And an album you can password protect. It will show up in latest uploads once you add it, but then if people are looking in the gallery by set, they will not see your stuff unless they specifically go to your personal gallery, and open up the album it is in, or if it comes up in a search.

Everything you upload will be in your gallery. Only what you select to be in an album you have created will be in your album.
