Default Need help with Gypsy...

Okay I finally get the time to take it out of the box and charge my Gypsy for the first time and then to load all my cartridges and I can't get the charger plug in the machine. I tried pushing a bit but I really do not want to push too hard for fear of breaking something.

Is there a trick to this or do I need to contact Provocraft?

Hi!
That's different, my round plug just slips into the connection near where the stylus is stored. Just a modest push and it snaps in..... hopefully you've got it connected by now. A suggestion, though I was told that if you set the Gypsy's battery settings to low screen brightness and timeout to 30 seconds your battery will last longer, possibly 4 hours continuous use and 16 hrs intermittent use. I'm sure that varies greatly by how much the Gypsy is used. I just got my gypsy a few days ago and I'm stil learning.

Thanks for the quick response. It is the first time I've used it and guess what? I was pushing the wrong button to turn it on! Duh! *sheepish grin*

I'm waiting for the general release of the Gyspy - on a preorder list!!

I have been watching tons of videos. On one of the video tuts, the woman said that the plug going into the Gypsy doesn't go all the way in but you should hear a 'click' when it engages. Don't know if that is true but just passing on this info.

Can't wait to get mine - it looks sooo much easier to use than the Design Studio on a computer. Using the stylus looks to be a more direct contact to what you want done with an image/letter.

That is correct about the plug. The small round plug does not go in all the way. Now that I have it all set up, I am really enjoying my Gypsy and have used it several times. Of course, now I NEED lots more cartridges! ;)
