I'm not sure I'll ever use this card; but, now that it's done, I figured I might as well up-load it. Here's my Soaring Graduate.

Thanks for the challenge Dawn, this is a procedure I use almost every year to help the soldiers have cards to send home to family.

Thank you for such a fun and quick challenge - it's always great for me of you have challenges that take only a few minutes, so that I have a chance to take part in them after work!

Here's my Close Your Eyes.

Yes, I do have those pre-printed cards sitting around. I'll give this a whirl on the week end. Good challenge, Dawn.

Great challenge. I've bought cards thinking I would do this several times, and you've finally forced me to do it. here's my card.

I made a set of 10 cards all on pre-scored white card bases. Very fun challenge!

Default Bear Necessities

Here's mine
Must say this must be the fastest card I've ever created! Admittedly the image was precoloured, the die cut was a precut leftover, oh, and the card was preprinted! I feel a theme here!

Thank you for all the inspiration.

Red face Great idea for cards received from others.

I also do not buy cards from stores but have a great idea for cards received from others. When a store-bought greeting card or note card is sent to me, I dismantle it and/or cut it up and use the pieces to make a new card to send back to the originator for their future use - kind of like sending a small prize back to them. Even if the note card received was a simple gold-embossed card with their initial. Cut out the initial, layer it, use dimensional dots and place on a card layered with plain and maybe printed card layers. Add embellishments or ribbon if desired. A clean, simple, classy technique is best though. My friends just l-o-v-e getting the beautiful surprise back in the mail. Along with the recreated card I enclose a 3 x 5" piece of deckle-edged white card stock on which I write my handwritten note. At the bottom of the deckle-edged card stock is (computer) pre-printed at the bottom "This card was created for you and is provided for your future use". I use a 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" clear mailing envelope from Stampin' Up into which I place the newly-created card for their future use, the deckle-edged card stock with my handwritten note, and a plain envelope for their future use. After affixing a large mailing label, postage stamp, and return address sticker to the outside of the clear mailing envelope, I mail it with one stamp. It is amazingly rare that the envelope requires more than one stamp. If you add embellishments that add weight or bulk, take it inside the post office to verify if one stamp will be sufficient. Have fun!
