Suzanne, we bought IKEA cabinets, I put the cabinets together, and then screwed them to the wall. bf and i cut out the hole for our sink and screwed down the counter top. his friend, him and i laid the tile and he and i painted the walls. =D

WOW....Good for you! I CAN be handy like that, but it's not often since I generally do it by myself and the extra hands are usually needed
Speaking of being handy....does anyone know if RONA is open today? Home Depot flat out says it's closed, but Rona says NOTHING....not even if you call them! So I'm wondering!
And FLIPPIN' UPS does, so the goodies I ordered that SHOULD have been here today (SU!) are now NOT going to be here till tomorrow, which means I have to wait till WEDNESDAY to play with them because I'm working with my upline tomorrow - ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I had to work today too and our employers do acknowledge family day, so I got paid time and a half! Woo hoo! But I must tell you, I earned every penny of it! It was super busy!
As for the reason Canada Post is open, it is a Federal institution and Family day is a provincial holiday.
Well, off to finish packaging my 'Tea and Coffee anyone' swap to send it off. Enjoy the day with your families!

DH's company doesn't recognize Family Day, so he had to work today...The peeps and I had a good day at home just watching Olympics, me playing with my MacBook and generally just doing house stuff...

I finished the mail by 12:45 today and we all went to the free skate at the area, then there was a bonfire behind the arena with free hot chocolate and marshmallows for roasting.

Good morning everyone! I just packaged up some swap cards I finished yesterday and now I can't find my camera to take a photo of one of them. I must have left it at work, although that is unusual for me, as I always try to keep it in my purse.
I noticed that the shop closes at 6pm today, and i don't know if they'll give us any "shopping time" during the class.... so i was thinking of heading down for like.. 5pm so i'd have time to browse the papers......
Uggg, the one time I dread Tuesdays is when Monday is a holiday! LMAO
I have a 2 hour meeting with Dragon Lady today and the whole coaching team. Last meeting she did quite the dog and pony show for the new big wig that also attended....I'm dreading the 2 hours of my life that I will never get back!! LMAO
Teresa, I hope you get this before you start out this way.
I called the store, and they said there wont be TOO much browsing time during the workshop, so i wanted to head over early so i can browse the store. we get an extra 10% off at the class so the girl said if we shop, we can put aside any purchases to get tallied up during/after the workshop.
i'm not sure what time you're done work today, so let me know if you want to go early too.... and if you're coming by to carpool... if not, i may skip it if Diana is still coming down so i can go watch the men's hockey game .. GO CANADA GO!
Karen- I'm confused...you might skip the class or the browsing time if I come down???

the game starts at 730 our time, and class ends at 830, so if i leave at 9, i might be able to catch some of it... its not that important, so it will just depend on what you and T are doing.... they're just playing norway.....

I'm home now. I've got to take Tiana to her dance class so I'll be leaving in an hour to get her from school. My BIL is picking Tiana up for 5 from dance. I want to stop in Oakville at Whole Foods on the way. I don't know what time it would be that I get to you Karen or what time it would be that I get to the paper store. What do you want to do?

depending how long you need there that would get you to my place around 445 i think, also depending on traffic.

Actually, the meeting got cancelled and individual times were booked instead! Not sure which is better, a 2 hour meeting or a 15 minute one on one with her....ugg. Oh well, at least she didn't breathe fire at me today!
