Oh Diana your room is awesome! I posted on one of your pictures, but I will say here too. I love the CD rack turned punch holder idea. We just got shelves for DVDs and have a CD rack that I was going to donate to Good Will. I might have a use for it now. I was just looking yesterday at my punches trying to figure out how to store them.
Speaking of punches, I don't know how many of you are near or can get to the Army Surplus store in Kitchener on Victoria Rd but I was there yesterday and they have a TON of Fiskars products. I was getting border punches for 4.99! They have smaller punches for $2.50 and sets of texture plates for cheap too! They also have some lovely clear border sets and other goodies too. The lady at the cash said they have even more stuff that they will be putting out over the next week or so as well.
For those of you that don't know the store, it is essentially like a Liquidation World or Biglots in the states. I find that the nature of some of the products makes the store seem sort of dingy but they are really nice and the prices are awesome. Let me know if you're not sure where you are going and I can give you directions.
I asked Ina if she wanted to go but she's not up to that yet. She came home earlier this week and is recuperating slowly.
Good Morning Ladies! Yep...I'm sure a couple of sets of bunks will fit down there! lol...the 1st is just fine Janet!
Thanks Melissa...I was sitting at my desk in my old craft room one night and was just staring at all my punches and thought that there just has to be a way to store my punches that they would be visible. I didn't want them hidden away. While I was preparing for my new craft room I googled a lot of ideas for storage and came across something for ribbon that looked similar to my CD rack. I didn't think about it until that night while I was looking at my punches. Then that got the ball rolling....lol....I went to the basement where the rack was collecting A LOT of dust, wiped it down, brought it upstairs, and I put my punches and oversized rolls of ribbon on it. I was so surprised that it all fit like a glove! DH asked me if I was sure that I wanted to use it since it's black and all the other furniture is white. I just looked at him like "yeah, don't you see how PERFECT it is?" lol...besides, the punches are black so it's all good! :-D

Thanks for the info on that store Melissa but it's a little far for me :(...happy shopping though!
Also thanks for the update on Ina. Please send her my thoughts and good vibes when you talk to her next. I sent her some loving on Wednesday so I don't know if it got to her yet (hopefully see doesn't read this before she checks her mail...lol )

I could so use a bed right now...damn boys keep me out too late and i work 7-3 everyday:( I am falling asleep at work...man i feel old! lol
Nothing beats a good bit of rest but if you are ever struggling to keep your eyes open....meetings, driving, or any other time really....get yourself to the rest room and run cold water over your wrists, the bit where you can see the veins just before it becomes your hand...do it for a minute or more and try make sure it is as cold as can be. It works...not really sure why I think it is something to do with cooling your blood down, either that or the shock of cold water!;)
WOW. that is a fantastic space Diana!
It looks so organized & clean!! i love the desk and you just gave me an idea for my own (HELLUVA SMALLER) space. Right now all my stuff is in boxes and stacked on top of each other, etc. I have some things in the den, some in the storage room... so you gave me an idear...dear.. Hmm... i think a trip to IKEA is in my future... tee hee..

My first attempt at the computer! Trying to follow this thread has got me all tired out and I will have to rest now! Thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts! I have not received your mail yet, Diana, but I did get Teresa's card! thanks so much. It's cute and I feel like that tin man! I get my staples out on Monday (15 of them) Yes, they had to cut me open so my recovery time will be a bit longer. Not too much pain....I stopped taking any pain meds on Tuesday. My biggest issue is that I am still nauseated and have no appetite, even though my friends are bringing me lots of tasty tidbits! I'm sure it will come soon. I have lost close to 10 pounds and I have my SIL so worried. She said....'how much can you stand to lose?' and my immediate answer was 40 pounds! I walked to the mailbox yesterday (about 300 steps) and hope to go a little further today. Glad to be up and about again! Glad you all had a great sleepover too! I'll be ready for one in January!

Its great that you're starting to get back to health! but don't over - exert yourself!
Take it easy so you heal properly!
Ina, Haha, you are like me...thinking about weight loss during recovery or sickness! There must be a group for that! There is a group for saying; "Yeah, Ina's getting better!", and it's right here!
WOOHOO!!! Ina's back! I sure did miss you tons chickie! Hopefully you get my love in the mail soon but if not I'm sending it through the cyberwaves! ((((HUGS))))

Guess what?! You know that Harley stamp I got that was no detail to it and looked like a blob when stamped? Well, I wrote to the people and they are making me a new one! Yippee! I wasn't even going to say anything because I felt bad that the guy is an artist but then I thought, hey, I already have cards cut out and ready to be stamped and I want a motorcycle stamp. Yahoo!!!!
They do carry clear envies (lip and tape), but from what I understand from my upline, they are considerably more expensive than what she orders from U-Line.
Ahh.. i seem to remember someone mentioning a website,.. i don't think it was u-line though. for the clear envies.... or maybe it was envies.... ack nevermind, obviusly I can't remember!!
i ordered mine from clearbags.ca. i ordered 1000 of them so my price was good.
Oh Christyne, I'm still trying to remember the website for those tins..... I'll let you know once I remember..... media something.... something media.... I'm gonnna go google
Oh, and they sell those clear CD case looking things specifically for calendars.
Let me know if you decide to put an order in. I'd like some of the calendar things.
There's no A2 size, the closest would be the 4 3/4 by 6 3/4 right? Are those the ones you get Christyne?
I would consider buying a box of bubble mailers or the stiff cardboard mailers for cards. Cheaper than buying them from staples or the post office. I think cheaper than the dollar store too.
