Ladies: Janet and I managed to get through all the cards/fronts last night. Wow, there were sure a lot of them! Thanks so much for your generosity.
Those that the church cannot use will be given to our Syracuse area Ronald McDonald House.
Arlene, a special thanks to you for the pieces and envelopes to help finish off the card fronts. We did set aside a handful of cards for your soldiers collection.
Great, Linda...and you are welcome! As long as they don't have any glitter I will gladly take whatever you have for the soldiers. It is quite a task, isn't it?? And I have two boxes to finish...
Speaking of soldier cards: I'm still planning to have an open day at my house Sat., Nov. 28 for those that need a card making fix during the Thanksgiving weekend! Any time after 9:30 a.m. Please come help finish cards/make Valentines for the troops and/or bring your projects to work on! So far I have one definite and two possibles. :-D
yep, I can see it and even print it out on my computer (looks good), but I won't be able to use it to certify with. Oh well, at least I have a starting point and a little experience, so it won't take as long next time and I'll make sure I print it correctly so it won't end up back to back, like it would have if it went the first time;)
I'm very excited to get and play with it!

eating soup... you should hear my stomach rumbling - it's like a thunderstorm in my belly
Had a nice spur of the moment walk this morning with Stacey - what great weather!
Then went to 2 of the 3 hockey games. All the moms were picking on the way I talk :( Home for some lunch, then back to the rink for the 3 pm game... A day in the life!

I've been doing a little of this and a little of that all day and not a lot of packing. And a long time on the phone to Debbie in NH. Kelsey ended up at home for a few days because she couldn't hear or speak very well. Dr. said ear infection and not related to her concussion. She's missed a lot of classes in the past 2 weeks. Also Debbie's brother flew to Gettysburg, PA yesterday to take his son home from college and to take him to a hospital in CA Monday for testing and maybe biopsy Tuesday...he may have lymphoma...like his grandfather. That family has too many illnesses all of the sudden! Makes my depression pale in comparison! Prayers and positive thoughts to the Smarts and the Clarks!
Depressing rain outside...time to move laundry to the dryer and do some packing...
just in from boston.
great time
michelle i did a drive by. around 8:15. no lights. so i didn't stop.
off to see my boys!
Poor Michele was stuck by the side of the road wiht a flat and a spare that they couldn't get on last night near your fave store in DeWitt. I asked her to let me know the outcome but didn't hear back from her. I'm sure she will tell us today.
Hey ladies........ back from a wonderful stamping weekend. Had a ball with Gayla and Kari. The gathering was VERY well run. It was a small group of 14 in one woman's home. It was nice catching up with Kari and seeing her apartment, little town, and her school!! More chatting than stamping in our jammies. But I guess that is what we needed more!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the chatting.... and the rest of the weekend. So glad you guys could make it!
Had a nice walk around the mall with Tilly and "T" this morning before heading to work to finish projects. Left work about 12:45, had hair done, then did lots of errands, fed birds, voted, started laundry, let Roomba loose to vacuum, and now checking in here. DH just called to say someone came in right at closing time with a $600 job so he'll be staying late to make 1,000 color copies and 1,000 b&w copies while finishing an ad design and tweaking scans of a customer's artwork. Zekey's on the stool next to me keeping me company...I think she knows we'll be leaving for almost 2 weeks...
Guess I'd better check the laundry and do the final packing...
Arlene, I am looking at a new printer so that I can again print on cardstock. Do you know if 110# index is the same as the Stampin' Up! 80# cardstock?
Nancy's the one to answer that question. Even though I've been working in the printing business for 11 years I still don't understand the paper weight/number thing!
DH gave me a Brother HL-4040CN color laser printer and it prints Springhill 110# index and and Via 80# card stock through its bypass/mp/outside tray. LOVE my color printer...laser is the way to go!
Finished packing! Have to clean my sneakers and go through all my papers to see which confirmation forms I have to take. Only 5 hours until I have to be up to shower, dress, give Zekey her pill and food, and load the car. We hope to be out the door by 3:30 a.m. (SNORE!!!) Hope I can sleep for a few hours. I'm wide awake right now.
I'm already feeling dry...every trip my skin starts to dry out. Kathy has a cold and I'm fighting off one with Zicam melts. NOT the best way to be feeling on a plane...closed in with all those germs!! I have several bottles of hand cleaner packed! I'd better go check the last load of laundry and drink some water...

Not sure if this helps but both SU WhisperWhite/VeryVanilla and Georgia Pacific 110# white cardstock go through my printer without problems; I don't even change settings such as for thicker paper. We have an HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One (printer/copier/scanner/fax but we don't have the fax function set up). I haven't tried printing on SU's color paper.
