Default Stazon cleaner no-no for clear stamps?

I am confused about Stazon inks and clear stamps. Is it true that the original Stazon Cleaner (that came in the white bottle with the dauber top) should not be used to clean clear stamps? Is the new bottle the same cleaner (but in a different package) or is it ok for clear stamps? Please help me figure this all out.;) TIA

I was told recently on here not to use it on the clear stamps.

dont do it! i accidently grabbed my stazon cleaner one day instead of my clear stamp cleaner (same bottle style) and it does make a difference. that stamp is now stickier than the rest sort of like it melted. i'm not happy about that.

I also use my blue Ultra Clean bottle. It works great with clear stamps.

WOW I'm glad I saw this. I've used my StazOn cleaner on clear stamps. I haven't had a problem, but I will be more careful in the future.

I think the problem might be with the CLEANER, not the ink itself, but I could be mistaken.

I'm sure I have used the Stazon cleaner on clear stamps before but I haven't had a problem yet either to my knowledge.

I've used StazOn cleaner on my clear stamps with no problem, but I've always rinsed them really well afterwards to be sure the cleaner was gone. I also use it to clean up my acrylic blocks.

I have used Stazon ink and cleaner on my clear stamps for several years now. I wash them afterward to get all the cleaner off and I have never had a problem.

CTMH sells Stazon and Stazon cleaner and all they sell are acrylic stamps.
I also asked my CTMH demo. You just have to rinse them afterward.

Ditto! I sell CTMH and we do have it in the catalog for our clear stamps. I use the Stazon cleaner on my clear stamps all the time, but it has kind of an oily residue so I always spray on my regular stamp cleaner again to remove it. BTW, I have 2 stamp scrubber pads, 1 for Stazon cleaner to use for Stazon/versamark and 1 for ink cleaner for regular ink stamping. I find this works great.

Also, when the clear stamps no longer stick to your blocks, just wash them all in mild dish soap and cool water, then dry them with microfiber cloth or air dry, and they get nice and sticky again.

Hope this helps!

I was just thinking the other day that I should have two scrubber pads! I use paint pads which are very cheap and work great, so it wouldn't be much of an added expense. Thanks for the helpful comments.
