Whew!! Guess scrubbing the bathroom is better than going outside where it's like a million degrees already!

Stay cool, girls!
I am very blessed (or is it spoiled, lol) to have a dh that scrubs the tub and shower for me! In the 10 years we've been married I've maybe scrubbed it once! My back just can't take it anymore so he's a sweetheart and does it for me! I do the rest of the bathroom though, can't get him to do the whole thing!

Hi Rose, we've missed seeing you, you need to come out and join us again! If standing outside in this heat is all it will take to melt this fat off I'm gonna stand out there all day!

Good afternoon girls! On days like today, I'm glad I have an office job with A/C. I feel so bad for our guys that have to work outside today.

We have a count of 11 cards with 10 bodies....any other takers, it will be a fun time!!!!!

It is 11 am at my house and for those not sure where that is I will be emailing directions in a few

I'll bring a pineapple casserole, taco dip, and maybe a dessert since we can never have too many sweet things. Or would you rather have veggies & dip instead of the taco dip?

I got your directions. What's the best way to get to Meade's main gate from my way? Anyone know?

This weeks challenge is to use a grid on your cardthe grid can be plaid or checked patterned paper, a Harlequin-design background stamp, a hand-drawn grid, a crossword puzzle, etc.

Definition of grid:

- A framework of crisscrossed or parallel bars; a grating or mesh.
- Something resembling a framework of crisscrossed parallel bars, as in rigidity or
organization
- A pattern of regularly spaced horizontal and vertical lines forming squares, diamonds
or rectangles.

Post a picture of your card to this thread on Sunday, August 16th. That gives you a week to complete your card. Good luck!

Cleaning my stamp room Friday night, I found a couple SBS card kits that weren't used at a swap. And my card uses a grid square. I'll just throw one of these cards together and use that if that's okay. Gee, I think something finally went in my favor for a change. LOL

My kits are assembled. All I have to do is throw together my basic tools kit and I will be good to go.

I ALSO finished up my Grid card... I am muchly more pleased with this entry as opposed to my rainbow ribbon one...

think this afternoon I will just color. and eat ice cream...

Taco dip is less work since I don't have to cut up the veggies, but if people would prefer a healthier snack, I'd be more than happy to fix them.

Stacy, these are the directions I got off Ft. Meade's website. I'm assuming I follow your directions after going thru the main gate and getting carded???

From Baltimore MD
Go to MD-295 S towards WASHINGTON to US 175 EAST. Follow 175 EAST until you come to the Reece Road
intersection (there is a traffic light). Turn right at the traffic light onto Reece road, and proceed to the Main Gate.

I think you will be fine with the dip and I have some tortilla chips (dang safeway and their soda deals LOL) They have buy 2 12 packs, get 3 free and a thing of chips so currently I have 2 big bags and will probably have 4 big bags in time for the swap

I LOVE Sweet Tea, as long as it is made with real sugar. I can't do NutraSweet or Splenda or any other artificial sweetener. I may also bring a non-Hawaiian food item since I can't eat pineapple or citrus. What a downer I am.

Allergy :( It's weird, because it didn't come on until I was in my 20's, but it has gotten progressively worse with some items and eased up with others. When I was pregnant I could have orange juice without any problems, but if I have a glass now it burns my tongue and/or my chest breaks out. BUT I can now have a slice of lemon in my tea or water and be ok. That's why I only let the girls have one glass of lemonade at lunch the other day. Mackenzie seemed ok, but Reganne broke out on her neck and their eczema flared up a little too. It's no big deal, it's not like a deadly allergy, I just avoid it. No need to do anything special.

Maybe I can bring some pulled pork....that's still luau-ish. And I will still bring the brownies. Mmmmm....they are yummy.

Mmmm both sound yummy!!! I will definitely make a few kabobs without pineapple as well! If DM brings nekkid balls too I have Plenty (plenty) of BBQ sauce we can slap on them in a variety of flavors (Honey, Spicy Honey, hickory, Regular)

Good and bad report from the doc.

She thinks I need to see a vascular surgeon for my foot, the circulation has been crumy for a while now. My blood sugars are stable and the really good news is I had lost 6# since I last saw her.

The jitters is diffently one of my new meds and should get better in a few days. Until then I get a few fun anti anxiety drugs if I need them. Over all it was a good report, she was very encouraging.

Hugs,

I'll shred up some pork and bring buns and people can pick their sauce then If anyone in Laurel wanted to go bye Red Hot and Blue and get a jar of their sauce I wouldn't be opposed. One of the very few things I miss about living on base.
