Well for once I slept very well last night, I must have gone to sleep the minute my head hit the pillow! Usually I toss and turn half the night before I finally get to sleep. But I may have just found out the reason for it, my doctor's office just called with results from a routine blood test and I have a vitamin D deficiency. Of all things! You would think with all the ice cream I eat I would have an over abundance of it! She's prescribing me a supplement to take. I just looked up the symptoms and some of them are muscle pain, fatigue, sleep irregularities, depression and weight gain. Wow, now I know why I hurt all the time, have no energy, am depressed and fat!!!! Let's see, once I start taking the supplements I will be happy, energetic, pain-free and skinny!!!
I think Vitamin D is the new cure-all! (and prevent all too!) Sure hope it does ALL of those things for you! Let me know, I'll up my dose...

Very interesting. I have all those symptoms too. I have thought it was my thyroid but those tests come back normal.
Tiggerificandi (nice lady attended the last big Ft Meade swap) PM'ed me today and asked if I knew of anyone willing to help her out with this project she has going. It a fundraiser swap and it helps out Military Spouses so I'll always pass along that info. Here is the link if you want to check it out and see if you can help.
okayI may have to buy me some Vitamin D too!!! I was up half the night too...I flipped over in the night to see eyes staring at me (alison LOL) she ended up in bed which means no sleep for me...she slept great though LOL
Now that we have a wonderful little space heater, I am sure they will turn on the heat.
Tracy: Deal of the week? Is it still kind of pricey for those items? (the items are the Library clips and designer brads and....hmmmm, large brads?)
Amanda, I also got that email.....can you pm me on how that works and what you have to do? Never did one.
Jeaneen, my sympathy on the work thing. I feel your pain, honest! Only you will have heat, I hope.
Kathi, you are none of those things.....you are sweet and kind and lovely so put up that note every day to remind yourself how beautiful you are.
Kimme, your tired because you have children....that happens.
Oh yeah, and Tracy, I got my challenge packet today. Can't wait to open it. I had "chores to do" so I just got home.
Mary...frost? I heard they were calling for it tonight too.
Hugs all!

I wish I knew you needed it! I have an extra can. It was so much fun Cherie, messy but fun. It was startling to see how it came out of that mess. Just amazing. I hope you have some fun with it.

I love the shaving cream technique! I've probally played with 1/2 a dozen different color combos! TOo fun.
Wish I had some marbles -- no the kind you play with to roll them through reinkers onto paper. That is a fun technique as well. But sad... kids have out grown them many years ago!
Kathi - I hate to tell you, but my oncologist has me on vit D (yes, it is the new cure all). Sorry, but you know how "skinny" I am. Oh well, maybe it will work for you. Rose
Unfortunately I have some sad news this evening. Rusty passed away around 6:00 p.m. tonight. He wasn't doing well this morning so I ended up staying home with him afterall. His condition worsened throughout the day and I called the vet to take him in when my dh got home so he could carry him to the car. He never made it to the vet, he passed away peacefully at home with his family. We will miss him terribly but he is now at the Rainbow Bridge with all his friends, running and playing and having a grand time.
I want to thank all of you for the wonderful, caring support you have shown me during this past month. I am truly blessed to have such caring friends.

Kathi, I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. I know you will be missing your dear Rusty! Big hugs to you and all the family...
Kathi, I'm so sorry about Rusty. I know you will miss him terribly. I'm glad you had the day with him and that he went peacefully at home with his family.

Is never easy. I am so glad you got to spend the day with him and comfort him along the way, passing with loved ones. No more pain for the pup, he now runs freely. Plant that picture in your mind and cherish it.

My driveway is this weird white color today, not wet and brown looking. What's up? Oh wait....it's dry. I agree that it is a jammie day today though. We are all in sweats and just chillin'.
I just placed my first order for some Nesties. I have held out long enough.
Did you have snow on Sunday morning? Mom and Dad in Reisterstown woke up to a white lawn - just a dusting, but it was white. I told Mom she was nuts until I saw it on the news. Too early for that stuff!
YES!!!!!!! I got it for $10.49 before shipping (which is $25.00)!!!! What a steal for an 88 year old Singer!!!! I can't wait until it gets here!!!! Thanks for remembering!
Wow! When you get it, can ya post a pic? Sounds really interesting.
That is great you got the sewing machine, Kathi!! It's always a thrill to win the item, isn't it?! ...Spent the evening baking for a bakesale happening at work tomorrow, that dh - minus the d - enlightened me about around 6pm tonight  Made pumpkin bread, rice crispy treats, regular whoopie pies, and brownies. That should be enough, on my part.
Ft. Meade girls, hope you are getting warm this morning. Second morning in a row that WBAL has said Ft. Meade has the coldest temps around. Sending ya warm hugs!
Good Morning everyone, thank you all for your kind and caring thoughts, you have no idea how much they mean to me. I'm going to stay home today and just relax and do some stamping, it is definitely therapy for me. It's hard to believe he is gone but I know he's happy and healthy now and no thunderstorms to scare him anymore.

Nope. No snow here yet. My tomatoes are still growing.
I learned this last week on the girls field trip, and thought I would pass it on:
If you cut the bottom off of your pumpkin, rather than the top around the stem, it is easier to get rid of the seeds, you don't have to worry about the top shrinking and falling in, You will always have a flat side so it will stay balanced, and if you use a candle, you can light the candle first then simply place the jack-o-lantern on top and not worry about singing your fingers.
I guess it was a Martha Stuart tip several years ago. I can't wait to cut into mine now Oh...and I only just learned that my dh never carved pumpkins as a child, never ate pumpkin seeds, and only went trick-or-treating a couple of times. He wore his costumes to school and that was it. :( Isn't that the saddest thing you have ever heard?

anyone up for a late night party tonight??? I have 4 MRIs tomorrow, which I would love to sleep through, so I am going to try and stay up as late as possible. I will try and stay up Wed night too as I have 2 more on Thursday. uggg! No sense in us all 'partying' on our own like we all did the other night - come and join in on the fun!

I just got an email from Marco from The Reflex (the 80s tribute band I referenced a few days ago). He said to get him a list of who plans to go and he will try and get us on the guest list (so we don't have to pay the cover charge!). So, if you are thinking of going, please let me know! As a reminder, they will be at Looney's in Maple Lawn (Fulton, just off 216, just beyond Route 29) on Nov 7, Sat., beginning at 9:30PM. Their website is www.reflexlive.com They are quite talented and energetic! If you either miss this and want to try again or come and love them and want to see them again, they will also be at Nottinghams in Columbia in early December...
Says I love Looney's for the Muscles........they have the best muscles. I can't stay up that late and my party side says it's LOUD in that place. But I still say, they have the best muscles......I think I'll pass on the "stay up all night thing" too. I hope the MRI goes well. Can you play music (IPOD) while they do it? Sure hope so.
Kimme, now I know why you can't get up at 8!

Thanks for the heads up on mussels! I do love them. I have never been to Looney's (I'm not a 'bar person'), but would like to see Marco and his band again...I know it will be loud, but at least not smoky!!! When we first saw them it was in VA and they allow smoking and I was dieing!
No, they won't let me bring music nor will they play any! GRRRR. This place is not very friendly, but they do have high quality equipment, which is why my doc makes me go there... That's why I am going to try and stay up late, so I can be drowsy and maybe sleep. Going in the tube makes me a bit nuts! Thanks for the well wishes - I am not crazy about going through these, although I do know they are necessary. You would think I would get used to it by now as I have to do several studies each year, but actually I think I get crazier with each one.
Jeaneen, tell him to get some Carroll County dates and my neighbors and I will all go (and gladly pay.)
And I am up and on-line every night until at least 11 if not 12 or later. I'm on MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger too if you want to chat
I just told Marco this and he said if you could suggest some venues, he will contact them and try to set something up. So..let me know some suggestions and I will pass them along to him!
