I am so freaking out!!

:( I went to my gallery today and a number of my cards are missing. I don't know if I have photos of them anymore....I am so sad....some of the cards were special to me.
I just so hope I can get them back.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

Lots of chatter about the gallery down in the Site Suggestions forum...

Apparently something about member galleries (not linked to a specific SU set gallery) that are "somewhere". But they will be back (based on other posters!)

Same thing happened to me. I noticed that at the top it says "Home * Members Gallery Cards & More * Clownmom" when I click on "My Gallery" in the menu. However, if I click on a link from an e-mail that says there is a new comment on my card, I can get the photo (which does not appear in the first scenerio of "Members Gallery Cards & More"), in which the header says "Home * Member Galleries * Clownmom." I think I'm going to copy this whole paragraph and post it in Site Suggestions to see if I can get an answer.

Well looking into it further about half of my gallery is gone. I sure hope I can get them back!! I have been so inspired lately and have really done some fun cards.

In my search of other gallery( people I go to often I see some are gone! some have what to appear all their cards gone. I have noticed some have no cards in 2009 period! Weird!

I noticed when you go to the home page and click on Today's Additions, there are only 5 pages and usually there are at least 12+ every day.

Earlier this morning I had four pages of stuff in my gallery. I now have only 10 projects - just the things that were in a gallery other than my "member gallery". I'll go check out the Site Suggestions thread and see what's happening - I just assumed it was a temporary database glitch when I noticed it earlier!

I thought I uploaded 7 cards the other day, but only 6 are there. So this am, I tired uploading the missing one (A Mother's Day card) twice, and it is still not showing up.

Ok, thought I was the only one having a heart attack, since I've uploaded 3 additional cards last night before going to bed and this morning check the my gallery and only 3 of my very older cards on there everything else is gone. I do hope someone can explain what is happening.

I'm sure it will be fine. Something similiar happened over a year ago with "posts." I do know that I lost about 10,000, but they did return about a week later.

We're working on it. Sorry about this! I have zippy clue what happened, but I just talked to Mark @ NameMedia and he does have a clue. He's working to get this resolved now.

Guess this is just a "wake-up call" that what they say about "not keeping all your eggs in one basket" is true. Nothing on a computer is to be considered a permanent storage. I really do feel for those who may have lost some special cards. There are lots of external storage systems for computers - please consider those as well as the gallery here. I sure enjoy looking at all the gorgeous cards.

All of my gallery is present and accounted for. Unless we have some very, very, very serious issues, I can confidently say that our gallery uploads here are pretty safe. They've worked hard to make sure of that.

I was thinking this too. I'd hate to lose my gallery, because of all the time taken in descriptions and listing materials, but I do have ALL my cards for the last 5 years on my PC, so even in the worst-case scenario here, they wouldn't be lost. I wouldn't ever feel that once I've uploaded them here, I could delete them from my PC. And I back up my PC every month...but the time I did have a crash and had to re-intstall, I lost about 3 weeks of card pics. There was one a magazine wanted to print in a feature, but I was only left with a scrappy little thumbnail that was no good at all :( and the original card had got a bit pulled to bits by kids in the family it went to.
