I just remembered that I forgot to mention in my description that I used the curly label punch to make the border on the top piece. I just lined up the curly part across the whole piece. I haven't seen that done before, but I'm sure somebody has tried it.... I was just not feeling like using the scallop again, and came up with this...
Everything in the gallery for this project is absolutely beautiful! I hope I get a chance to try one. It would be a great demo to open my upcoming workshop and then to give to the hostess. Thanks for great instructions!

Here is my sample, which is a popcorn and gift card holder. I used a legal sized envelope so the popcorn will fit. It's nice to have ANOTHER snow day, so that I can stamp! We got a lot of snow last night! Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!

Okay, all you ladies WITHOUT a crimper can NOW play! Here's my pocket card where I didn't use a crimper; guess what it's called? No Crimping! LOL

I'm not too sure if the inserted card matches up enough with the outside. But, it sure was fun to make.

Hmmm, maybe I'll get to play now...just spent all morning at the vet. In the meantime, while they have my dog I'll see what I can make using something to substitute the crimper.
I keep telling my husband, if you own a dog...be prepared to pay the expense for it like today:(

Great challenge Lynn! I should have taken two different photos as this isn't the best way to show them together, but too late now! I know the photo looks like the envie is smaller than the card but it's not... it's a perfect fit... just the perspective of one closer than the other makes the card look bigger. LOL!.... Blame the photographer... oh, that would be me! Anyway, here it is, my real guy card:

I'd never heard of this technique. Thanks, Lynne, for the challenge. Here's my card. It isn't very complex, since (not being familiar with this technique), I wasn't sure where it was heading when I started.....! But a lot of my cards are that way..! TLC210 Blues` by boonstoon at Splitcoaststampers
WHAT? We're supposed to know where we're headed BEFORE we start??? That's unheard of for me!

Fun technique! I thought I was going to create something quick and easy, but got a little lost along the way! But I'm happy with the final product! Thanks for another great challenge!
I don't have a crimper either (well, I do have a very small one that takes scraps that my kids have placed somewhere I can't find). So I did a small accordion fold. Might have to try a cuttlebug, too, as someone mentioned. Here's my card: Pretend-crimped Envelope Pocket Card by designlady at Splitcoaststampers
