Heather, I forgot to add Verve to the list of stamps I am bringing. I told a few people that I would bring some of those stamp sets too! In fact I used Up, Up and Away last night, loving it!

Have fun Elizabeth! Tommorrow night is not a good night for me so I'll have to catch up with you next time!
We are looking to move to the other side of the CT river - closer to UCONN. We found a house in Tolland. Right now we are waiting to hear if our offer has been accepted
Hi all! We had a whopper of a storm on Friday and we were without power for a long time. Here is an article from local paper.
If you look at the pictures on the left, you can see the worst of it was Wethersfield and Unionville (where I live). Although it does not mention in the article, we are pretty sure there was tornado touch down here, too. There are trees with 3 foot diameter picked up and laid on their sides. Nothing else could have done that! We are all good and yesterday was absolutely gorgeous!

Wow....I am glad you are okay Gael, those pictures are amazing!
Ooh ooh ooh aah
Gotta make a change
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right
As I turned up the collar on
A favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs
A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other
On the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change, yey
Na na na, na na na, na na na na oh ho
I've been a victim of
A selfish kinda love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really pretending that they're not alone
A willow deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed out dream
(Washed out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah)
I'm asking him to change his ways, yeah
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause when you close your heart
(You can't close your, your mind)
Then you close your mind
(That man, that man, that man)
(That man, that man, that man)
(With the man in the mirror, oh yeah)
(That man you know, that man you know)
(That man you know, that man you know)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself then make that change
(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)
Ooh
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)
Oh no
Oh no, I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good
Sure mon
(Change)
Just lift yourself
You know, you got to stop it yourself
(Yeah)
Oh
Make that change
(I gotta make that change today, oh)
(Man in the mirror)
You got to, you got to not let yourself, brother oh
Yeah
You know that
(Make that change)
(I gotta make that make me then make)
You got, you got to move
Sure mon, sure mon
You got to
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Make that change
Stand up and lift yourself, now
(Man in the mirror)
Make that change
(Gonna make that change, sure mon)
(Man in the mirror)
You know it, you know it, you know it, you know
(Change)
Make that change

Define "cheap".
the best prices I've found have been via office supply stores. Office Max does BOGO on them sometimes (usualy about $9 per box), and Office Depoit often has online coupons that would benefit you if you had to buy more stuff than just a single box.

Depending on how many you need. www.cutcardstock.com sells them pretty cheap. When buying in bulk they are the cheapest that I have found so far.

Used to be at least where I live that WM was the least expensive, 50 envies for 4.97---it was cheaper than Office Max--cause I went and checked.
HOWEVER---pay close attention to the size--here's why. AMPAD recently enlarged the size of their "invitation" envelopes. Invitation envelopes are the size we use for an A2 or 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card--aka 1/4 fold notecards. I purchased 2 boxes of "invitation" envies at WM recently, pulled one out to send a card to one of y'all and the evelope was way too big. I checked the size of the card, thinking how could I screw up the size of the card and not notice? Then I measured the card, yep it was 6 1/2 inches long--WTHeck??? Took a look at the box which proudly proclaims: "New Larger Size (which is ususally music to a ho's ears--I'm sorry but I had to throw that in) fits 4 x 6 photos--yet the envies are still sold as "White Invitation Envelopes"--which these are NOT--so Lisa--please make sure you are getting the correct size.....
BTW--I will be writing a letter to Ampad located in Richardsobn, TX today
!

Thanks for the info. Did they keep the price and qty the same?

Yes and Yes. The new size box looks just like the old box except for a circle saying New Larger Size---however since I was looking at the 1 1/2" "WHITE INVITATION ENVELOPES" knowing these woud fit I sorta missed the circle w/the newer size info.--The box color is still purple.

i am so glad it's a 4 day week, today was horrid at work....my supervisor drives me crazy, expects me to do all this stuff without telling me what to do, then when i don't do what she wants, I get in trouble...HELLO I"M NOT A MINDREADER..........ugh
anyone have fun plans for the 4th this weekend? I'm going camping with some friends Get this, the invite said...bring your tents, guns, alcohol.......what a great combo huh? Yeah, you can tell I live in a rural town.........
I'm going to Milwaukee/Chicago this weekend! We are going to chicago just for the day on Saturday, because we got tickets to the Cubs/Brewers game for face value! I'm going to Milwaukee around 3:00 Friday so I'll check in from Scott's Friday night. Saturday our train leaves at 8:00 am for a 12:05 game, then we come back probably on the last train (leaves Chicago at 8:00pm) so by the time we get a Milwaukee city bus back to Scott's in Cudahy it will probably be around 11:00pm. LONG Day! But totally worth it to go see my Cubbies!

Hi girls! I had a Wonderful trip! Great times with my good friends. Then I went to see my good SCS friend Angie ( Duckwaddlequack) and we did some majior craft shoping. We went to Archivers and many other places! I was a bad girl! But found some great deals and got lots of fun goodies. My 2 best deals of the weekend were basic Grey paper pads for only 1.99 at Archivers I got 2 stayles I did not have and a K and company make your own Photo cube for 2.99.
But when i came hom I had no AC. It was 89 in my place all night last night and today! But I did get it fixed 500$ later OUCH. But atleast I will get some sleep tonight!
Night all

Perhaps the first card can be my HPC shoebox card or is it too elaborate?
I'm really stuck on a card to make and it's not like there is a limited supply of stamps to choose from either

Okay I did some checking on the internet--if you happen to have an Office depot store in town--A2 envelopes are $7.39/100 for store brand; Office max is $12.79/100--I didn't compare quality--just price.
If you really need a ton of envelopes--go to www.envelopesuperstore.com, $30.36/500, add shipping $8.81, total is 39.17 (shipping based on my addy-may be different depending where you live) or .07834 cents p/envelope.
Hope this helps.
