Congratulations! Wow, that's a great school! What is she studying?
Scott's magazine article has been published! I gotta find it tomorrow ;) I emailed him back right away to see if they have a website or something. They did not use any of his pictures, but there are quotes about us meeting on the baseball tours ;) YEAH!

LMK though, I would love to meet you!
As far as I know, it's only for the day. The meet has to wrap up by dusk and we'll be on the road headed back to Michigan as soon as Rockford's crew is cleared to depart.

I think so.... I ignore all sports but hockey. LOL
I saw that Coach Izzo won't be leaving MSU, and that's as far as I've paid attention.
But you're right, there is a lot of coverage and hoopla... just not anything that I pay attention to.

Wait there was a chance Izzo was gonna leave MSU? I didn't even see that.
I like hockey, I just don't follow the NHL very much, although I have to admit I will root for the Wings' as long as Cheli is there. He's one of my Badger boys.

Yep. Someplace out west.. Oklahoma, maybe? The rumors flew around here for a week or so, and the school in question made its choice yesterday, and Izzo wasn't it. www.wxmi.com has a write up on it, as should www.woodtv.com (two of our local stations - the ones that really push the sports)
Here's where I duck... I hate Chelios. It goes back to his pre-Wings days. Great player, but he's spent more time with Detroit sucking up money and sitting on his butt than actually doing anthing.
I'd like to see someone else from the Griffins get called up and really shine, versus the old farts who don't do much of anything.
However, I was THRILLED when Hossa signed with Detroit this year. He was the best part of the Penguins (and I hate to say it, capable of being a better goalie than Osgood). And now we have him.

No need to duck Roberta ~ I understand, after all he is a X-Blackhawk. He could put any jersey on and I would be rooting for him ;) CHeli and Heatley are the only two badgers I really follow anymore.

And the rivalry with the Blackhawks is precisely why! LOL
Cheli stands about as much of a chance as my showing some love as a Lemieux would.
We've gotta get you over here during IHL season, LJ. Between my office's connection to the Griffins and my husband's union getting wicked discounts, we're bound to score some cheap seats (possibly even for the Wings annual game), and the arena is only five minutes from my house.
I told Jennah that we'd trek up to Traverse City this year for two days of training. I was barely older than her when I started going, and haven't gone in her lifetime. I miss it... and I miss getting fried cheese and onion rings at Gordy Howe's (I usually don't much care for fried cheese curds, but Gordy's are tasty stuff)!! LOL
I'm off to bed... the other two kiddos have caught Iain's strep and now Chris has it, too. I need all the sleep I can get to avoid becoming a victim of the plague! ;)
Joy, I hope that you and Chris are both feeling better. Polo's a good boy, but until you teach him how to make soup and open a pill bottle, one of you guys has to stay healthy! *hug*

LOL.. sorry, Joy!
That's what happens when talk of the 'fooseball' starts around me.
( The last time that I watched a football game, Joe Montana was still a QB for the San Francisco 49'ers. ;) )
Or baseball. Or basketball... you get the idea.
But I do know Euro football. Well, a little bit, anyhow. Past that and hockey, I am sports retarded.
..and now Ward's beckoning, so it seems I have to hit the sack. Good thing I was headed that way... eventualy... ;)

HERE HERE! I totally agree Roberta! When is he going to retire already?
(See LJ? ...I'm not totally a sports moron...Hockey is the only sport I know anything about! ;))
