Default silhouette- is it updated?

I am considering a Silhouette because my LSS has it at a fab price and I love a great deal. I would use it primarily for the font capabilities, at least in the beginning. Have a friend who bought one a year or two back and she has had issues with it - hard to load the paper for one. Does anyone know if the current model being sold has been updated recently or is it unchanged from a few years ago?

I have no trouble loading paper into my Silhouette. I did get a bum machine my first go (wasn't cutting properly and was going through blades after 3-4 uses), but Quickutz replaced it and my current machine is amazing. I've had it since August and it's absolutely perfect and easy to use. If you have trouble you can call QK and they will walk you through anything and everything.

I've had my Silhouette since they originally came out (2 + years ago) and I haven't had any problems with it.

It's a great machine and the price is amazing now (50 to 75% cheaper than when they were first released!!!)

I bought mine at the middle of the year and have had no problems with it. I really do love that machine you can do so much with it. It is so much more versatile than the cricut, trust me i have both.
