how to package cards to sale?

Hi there,
I was just wondering how everyone packages their cards for a craft sale?
Do you pre-package them in 10's? or do you let the costumers pick their own 10 out? and how much do you charge
please any suggestions would be great!

I order the clear boxes from Clearbags.com and I put 5 of the same card with 5 envelopes into the box. I sell them for $12. With all them being the same, it elimiates them opening the boxes to see them all. KWIM?? Did pretty good with a recent craft show. I thought about letting them pick out their own 5 cards and have the boxes there so they could box their own. It probably would have worked fairly well, just didn't do it!!

I would make packages of 5 cards with envelopes.
I put them in ziplock bags and stamp a matching bag topper. Here's a photo on my blog:

All cards stay neat and clean this way.

I put all mine in clear peel 'n seal bags individually because I find that my customer base prefers to pick and chose what they want.

I put each card in a clear envelope with a white or ivory envelope for customer to mail the card in. this works well for me.

I just went to a big craft fair in Spokane and a lady had a booth where she was selling cards and she had them in clear envelopes and sold them individually or so many for a set price. She had them in baskets according to theme and you just picked out the cards that you wanted. I actually bought five just for the ideas. SHe had a lot of really neat cards. Hope these ideas help.

I put them in a clear bag with an envelope individually. I just sold all of my christmas cards to my choir, and i sold them for $4. i would have liked to sell them for more, but people seemed eager to pay that price!

I put as well 5 cards + envelopes in a clear box. Usually I sell them for $8. It depends by the design. But I think 8 worked good on craft fairs and art festivals.
I have sold on Etsy package of 5 for $12, those were more detail oriented cards.

I sell mine for $2.50 each or 5 for $10 - for craft fairs I have them single (in a plastic card sleeve with envelope) separated by theme - birthday, thank you , friendship, etc... - I usually have a few sets (all the same card) made up as well - those are usually my down and dirty - easy but cute cards - i.e. I can do up a bunch of them in minimal time...

For me single cards sell the best - especially when people are buying them for themselves...they want a variety rather than all the same card...

One thing I have found is holiday cards DO NOT sell well at holiday craft fairs - I sold maybe 5-6 single ones (vs about 70+ of other ones) and at least 2 of them were to people who were stampers and had the set and was going to use the card for inspiration. I guess because if people are sending cards they buy them in bulk - if I didn't make mine myself I would balk at paying 2+ for a holiday card - especially when sending out 50-60-70+
